    The present research work is focused on determining the effectiveness of the physiotherapeutic approach in patients with hip arthroplasty, the research is carried out at Salcedo Type B Health Center, in the province of Cotopaxi The methodology is part of a descriptive and observational research because they helped to know the status of people with hip arthroplasty after the rehabilitation protocol. The study population consisted of 25 participants, who underwent initial and final evaluations after twelve weeks of rehabilitation using the Modified Harris Assessment Scale (2010), being the most widely used instrument today as a method Evaluates the results of patients who have undergone hip arthroplasty due to their validity and reliability since it covers dimensions: pain, function, deformity and range of motion In the physiotherapeutic approach, physical agents (cold and heat) Tens, Interferential, cyriax massage, isometric exercises, assisted and resisted active exercises, were used alternately returning the function of the joint for reincorporation in one way Independent society

    Knee osteoarthritis is a progressive joint degenerative condition appreciated as one of the most common chronic rheumatic diseases that represent a great demand for arthroplasties, great costs and long recovery times, so the research sought to evaluate the physiotherapeutic approach in patients with knee arthroplasty in the rehabilitation area of the Hospital of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) Ambato, identifying the evaluation, diagnosis and physiotherapeutic prognosis procedures, establishing the intervention protocols and determining the patient's personal satisfaction; through the development of a descriptive prospective study with an exploratory level, under a quantitative approach; for which a questionnaire was designed for 16 professionals and another for 30 post-surgical patients with knee arthroplasty, randomly selected; concluding that the physiotherapists are restricted in their professional activities, which affects the proper development of the physiotherapy intervention, in addition the patients perceived little improvement of the pain relief, functionality and therefore in the quality of life.
