The present clinical case analysis refers to a 22-year-old male patient who suffered a traumatic injury to the right femur as a result of a traffic accident and was surgically operated where osteosynthesis was performed with plate fixation in an exposed fracture of the right femur Gustillo I With spinal fracture of a distal middle third, remains hospitalized for 12 days, progressing favorably so it is decided to discharge. After a month of rest he goes to a private health home for consultation: pain and instability of the right lower limb; it is assessed by a specialist who decides to enter for surgical treatment under the diagnosis of right femur refracture. The patient's knee ankylosis is the result of several factors that contributed to the patient's production: bone refracture and fracture of the osteosynthesis material, lack of patient education about postoperative complications, prolonged immobilization, delay in consolidation, and a late physiotherapy. It is proposed to physiotherapeutic treatment with the objective of recovering joint ranges and restoring the functionality of the daily living activities.
