Mg.The following research aims to classify the musculoskeletal pathologies in the public and private health units of the Colta and Guamote cantons of the province of Chimborazo and determine the prevalence of these diseases through the database provided by the health district 06D04, 182990 patients were taken to the Health Units of both cantons. For the respective analysis, only those people suffering from musculoskeletal diseases who have 8733 added the two cantons have been taken into account. Data were identified using the ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases 10th Edition) instrument. Currently the high prevalence of musculoskeletal diseases has a very important impact on the limitation and normal work performance of Ecuadorian workers and above all in the inhabitants of the cantons mentioned that devote much of their work to agriculture and livestock. The present research is exploratory-descriptive because it is an information survey, moreover, it is predominantly quantitative-qualitative, because these data are going to be expressed in letters and numbers. Qualitative research makes participant observation and open observations of a reality. By means of the analysis and interpretation of the data, it was possible to identify that in Colta (5633), more people are requesting attention due to musculoskeletal pathologies than in the Canton Guamote (3100). However, the prevalence and percentage of this type are similar of pathologies is the two cantons. At the end of this investigation, it was possible to determine that there is a higher prevalence of pathologies such as unspecified polyarthrosis, unspecified lumbago, myalgia and other polyarthroses. It should be noted that during the investigation there are no private care units.
