    Physical therapy in critically ill patients who are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, either acute illness accident, surgery or any other cause that leads to a phase of instability from the medical point of view it places the patient at risk to life, sometimes very high. It is an obligation of the physiotherapist, as it is of all staff Health, knowing the actions to be carried out for it must have correct knowledge of both the etiology and development of these critical situations, and the rules of action against them. The patient most likely is located in special units: ICU, incubator, resuscitation, where he is receiving medical and surgical highly specialized treatment. The first objective is sought is the development of a guide Physical Therapy to safeguard his life, leaving for later aspects, although important will be addressed at a later stage, to avoid future complications and the risk of Health Inpatient
