This research was performed in Liga Ambato in the province of Tungurahua. The purpose is to find out the incidence of ankle sprain grade II and to set up a protocol of treatment for every individual player who shows this pathology. This will benefit all non-amateur soccer players who can get hurt easily and in some cases very frequently. Important parameters were set for the development of the work, since the research is a quantitative approach was used the evaluation of Edema and Visual Analogue Scale (EVA), last to collect the information is the Observation Sheet to continue its treatment. At the conclusion of the investigation, it was shown that the players evaluated and treated with RICE, showed a significant improvement of recovery of their ligamentous injury. Which allows us to verify, that the technique that was applied was established in a correct way and without any delay. .
