Mg.The study on the effect of proprioceptive training on dynamic stability in anterior cruciate ligament rehabilitation aims to determine the effect of proprioceptive training on dynamic stability in anterior cruciate ligament rehabilitation, through clinical and statistical results as well as the registry of proprioceptive training of the centers under study; for which a non-experimental prospective cohort study was developed, under a descriptive level and a quantitative approach; the population was comprised of 12 patients who were in the recovery stage of an anterior cruciate ligament lesion, selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria; an initial assessment before the intervention was applied through the tests Star excursion Simplified Balance Test (SEBT) and Standing hell rise test (SHRT) and after 6 weeks of the training program a second assessment; which yielded significant results at the clinical level in that all participants presented an improvement in knee stability in both the injured and healthy limbs, while statistically there was a high significance with p values of 0.000 in the two SEBT tests and SHRT; concluding that the proprioceptive training program has positive effects on the improvement of dynamic knee stability in anterior cruciate ligament injuries.Item “Prevalencia del valgo de rodilla en los estudiantes de la carrera de terapia física de la universidad técnica de ambato”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2018-03-01) Rosero Cuesta, Christian Andrés; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía Lcda. Mg.The knee valgus is a pathological circumstance that affects the correct alignment of the knees making them in this way that they take a form of (X), this pathological circumstance can occur in children, adults and elderly of different ages and sexes occurring in several ways at first without any pain but over time can cause big problems if this condition is not treated on time. Among the most likely causes for there be a deformity in our knees, we have that obesity is a great factor for it can produce a bad alignment of the lower limbs, another factor that may be essential is when there is a flat foot causing the distal part of the femur together with the proximal parts of the tibia, fibula, and the entire patella to be directed towards the inner part of the lower limb. There are some complications that can occur if the knee valgus if it is not treated on time, among the most common problems that can be mentioned are the distention of the adductor muscles of the thigh, this is a stretch of the muscles that perform the adduction of the hip, while on the other hand there is another great complication, and this is that an osteoarthritis of the outer region of the cartilages that are located both in the distal part of the femur bone and the cartilage found in the proximal part of the tibia. So this research has as aims to release how many Physical Therapy students that belong to the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Amato have in their lower limbs a deviation of the angle of the knees known as a Genu Valgus. Mg.The aim of the research project was to determine the epidemiological profile of musculoskeletal injuries of the knee and ankle in personnel of the Armed Forces. In the last decades, the physical exigency of the military service has increased, being the physical training an activity that is practiced within the working hours with the purpose of obtaining a high level of physical aptitude, implementing different ways of working the body and thus generate The optimal development of the same. Knowing that patients have the necessity of taking up the daily life in good health conditions after having suffered such injury and in many occasions to their daily activities, with this approach it was intended to verify the effectiveness of the exercises of proprioception as a method of treatment in anterior cruciate ligament injuries of knees, after the routine treatments in rehabilitation centers have not gotten an early and/or complete reinstatement attend to the physiotherapy service of the Province Hospital of Ambato. To each patient was asked to authorize a participation through a reformed consent that benefited us for the collection of information with an inquest, an EVA SCALE to prove pain and a questionnaire to prove the equilibrium, the march, and the matter, all of this facilitated to know the initial and final fitness state of patients pusing as hypothesis that the exercises of proprioception applied to the treatment of ligament injury are effective to recover stability of knees and they decrease the time of reinstatement to the AVD, concluding that exists an excellent recovery getting better the stability, muscular strength and joint amplitude.Item Potenciación Muscular Como Tratamiento Terapéutico En La Artrosis De Rodilla(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Terapia Física, 2016-10-01) Sánchez Razo, Cristian David; Córdova Velasco, Luis Ernesto Dr.This research was presented as objective determine the effects that the muscle strengthening as a therapeutic treatment in osteoarthritis of the knee in the Elderly Foundation Amparo child and the family of San José de Patate. Knowing that the patient is in need of reducing the annoying symptoms presented by knee osteoarthritis and verifying the effectiveness of the technique of muscle strengthening as a treatment for osteoarthritis of the knee, it achieved a treatment framed in rapid patient recovery. The research has a sample of 23 people who were selected with the inclusion criteria and suffer from osteoarthritis of the knee. Each patient was asked to authorize their participation with informed consent. For data collection surveys, including the scale of EVA to assess pain, and a questionnaire WOMAC for osteoarthritis, same that allowed a known state and end of each patient becoming the basis of the study since with was used the data obtained was achieved verify the effectiveness of muscle strengthening as knee osteoarthritis treatment. An important stabilizer of the knee is the anterior cruciate ligament, the function of this is the limitation of joint movement over the anatomical limits. Some criteria that had been lent to confusion diagnosed determined. the physical therapy was also evaluated, which found some issues, delays and finally an alternative treatment is established with the aim of improving joint function and life of the patient
