Item “Relación de la presencia de los terceros molares y el desarrollo de cefaléas y cervicalgias recurrentes”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2020-02-01) Vásconez Astudillo, Thalía Mercedes; Peñafiel Luna , Andrea CarolinaLcda, Mg.Headaches and cervicalgia are the most recurrent symptoms in medical consultations, usually evolve favorably with conventional treatment; but sometimes its resolution is prolonged, becoming a chronic problem, which limits the autonomy of the person and produces a sensitive deterioration in the quality of life, so it has been proposed to relate the presence of the third molars and the development of headaches and recurrent cervicalgia, through the application to 30 patients with the presence of third molars, symptomatic or not; From a headache perception questionnaire and the cervical disability index questionnaire, patients were categorized by age and sex, according to the status of their third molars, the clinical characteristics of headache and cervicalgia pain were identified. The results revealed that 30% of the population had sprouted third molars, 20% retained and 50% extracted; the majority of the population were between 18 and 25 years of age; there is jaw pain associated with headache; that is unleashed when chewing; in the form of pressure; of intermittent type and of moderate intensity; While cervicalgia did not greatly alter the daily activities of the patients and presented at a moderate intensity, the correlation between the headache variable and third molars reveals a p value of 0.551; and cervicalgia 0.009; Therefore, it was concluded that the state of the third molars does not influence the presence of headaches; while in cervicalgias if they are related. Msc.The present investigation had the question of knowing the musculoskeletal disorders presented by the administrative staff and workers of the Technical University of Ambato; performing an anamnesis, physical evaluation, manual tests and evaluations according to the need which consists of filling out some questionnaires (Oswestry, DASH, NDI, SF36), widely used internationally with great reliability and validity to reach an accurate diagnosis. The focus of the study was qualitative-quantitative cross-sectional since data was collected through surveys and scales, as well as the evaluation of 40 patients in a given time, which was why the most prevalent disorders in the staff were found of the institution are lumbalgia, back contractures and cervicalgia, since most workers are subject to repetitive movements, por posture, remain in one position and do not perform activities of active breaks during working hours, this is sum the activities of daily life that perform which are of great importance. Mg.The present research project focuses on the prevalence of mechanical cervicalgia in the professional drivers of Vía Flores transport cooperative. The research content includes the most relevant aspects about cervicalgia of mechanical origin, the interest in the present investigation is due to the need to know the prevalence in which mechanical cervicalgia is present in the drivers of Vía Flores transport cooperative, due to the posture maintained by drivers throughout the working day without the necessary rest, the stress produced by the time load, the environmental factors that go hand by hand with the driving, these are factors that influence on the biomechanics and the morphology of the cervical region, this produces an inadequate discharge of weight in relation to the cervical set, it causes structural, anatomical and functional alterations, by which pain occurs to the mobilization. The research project consists of four chapters in which several aspects were studied according to the importance they contribute to the study, this study was limited to research in the professional drivers of Vía Flores transport cooperative. The present research Word aims to establish the prevalence or the musculoeskeletal Pathologies in the public and private health units of Canton Ambato, during August 2015 to August 2016.
