(2022-11) Castiilo Campaña, Shirley Micaela; Viteri Medina, Galo Alejandro
ABSTRACT This project is focused on the creation of a leisure space (cafeteria) that reflects the cultural identity of the Pujilense Corpus Christi festivity with its protagonist the dancer, in the geographical context of the city of Latacunga, the space will be located in the building heritage of the Chamber of Small Industry of Cotopaxi located on Belisario Quevedo streets between Guayaquil and Padre Salcedo. The main objective of the development of the project is to highlight cultural identity through a space for public use which, due to its location in the historic center of the city, will be easily accessible to residents of the sector and tourists from all over the world. It is important to understand that, like cultural identity, architectural heritage is of great historical-cultural value and it is vital that it be preserved from generation to generation, thus keeping the essence of our ancestors intact and above the changes of the present. It is understood that advances and constant changes are an essential part of the development and innovation of humanity, however, the correct cultural diffusion will keep us rooted in our sense of belonging to a social group enriched with culture. Making use of the design of architectural spaces, it is proposed to create comfortable spaces for users with a focus on learning and acculturation, developing a dynamic and multifaceted place that meets the expectations of its users.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Diseño y Arquitectura. Carrera de Diseño de Espacios Arquitectónicos., 2021-02-10) Huertas Checa, Kevin Alejandro; Fuentes Pérez, Eliska
This research project is based on the study of heritage buildings in the city of Salcedo and on the importance of the efficiency of existing resources through resignifications, which are carried out in architecture with the aim of recovering the functional qualities of the property, granting a new meaning to the use of a building. The resignification supposes the revaluation of the architectural elements of the built component by the society, since it implies rehabilitating the commercial, social, structural and habitable potential, according to a proposal that is pertinent to the needs of the context. The impact of the research lies in a contribution to the dissemination of the living culture of the city of Salcedo, according to an interior design proposal, which renews the cycle of use of the local resources, the efficient management of the built heritage and the increase in economic opportunities in the city of Salcedo, supported by the analysis of the context and user to determine functionalities that promote the symbols and values of the city. The applied methodology is exploratory, descriptive and explanatory level, supported by the collection of mixed data on the relationship of the building with the operation of the territory through surveys and observation, in addition, the experience of professionals on similar cases is analyzed, where Criteria were applied on the resignification of the heritage built for tourist-cultural purposes. As a result, it can be said that the reuse of the Salcedo canton railway station is viable, with the motive of reappropriation of the local heritage for tourist-cultural purposes.

Considering that it must be taken into account that the human being feels the need and above all feels a great attraction for places or buildings that present a familiar environment or spaces, being these perceived as already known spaces, which need appropriate changes that generate different utilities All this will be achieved based on the use of vernacular materials in a great redesign of the traditional tourist agencies and their interior spaces in the Baños de Agua Santa canton of the province of Tungurahua. To achieve this objective of this Research project, the technical design, planning and supervision of the application of a tourist agency manual with vernacular materials from the Baños de Agua Santa canton will be necessary.
