Item Evaluación de tres tipos de trampas para el manejo de mosca de la fruta en cultivo de mandarina (Citrus reticulata)”(2024-02) Núñez Hernández, Jonathan Alejandro; Zurita Vásquez, José HernánThe research was carried out in the Patate canton, in the Mundung sector, Tungurahua province, with the purpose of evaluating the efficiency ofthree types of traps (Mcphail, plastic bottles and Jackson) to capture fruit flies. A randomized block experimental design was used with three repetitions per type of trap. The data were analyzed using the Chi square test, obtaining a total of 425 individuals captured, 219 females and 206 males, the trap with the highest capture of fruit flies was the Jackson trap, having a result of < 0.00001, being highly significant (**) in capture by sex, thanks to its pheromone as a source of attraction, surpassing other types of traps in captures. In conclusion, the Jackson trap proved to be the most efficient for controlling fruit flies in the shortest time. Keywords: Fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata), traps, pest capture.
