Neck pain can be very disabling for people who work permanently in offices in front of a computer, so the objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the application of the myofascial release technique in the staff working in the Cooperative Ambato Ltda. and thus establish the therapeutic effects that improve their physical pathological conditions. For this purpose, a total of 20 employees with upper crossed syndrome were taken as reference, to whom the cervical disability index questionnaire (NDI), postural test and visual analog pain scale evaluation (VAS) were applied at the beginning and end of the intervention. When analyzing the results, the cervical pain was reduced to moderate disability in a range of 15-24 points with 65% (13); by means of VAS the pain level was mild with 85% (17) and in the postural test, although a significant change was not achieved, a P= 0.001 was obtained, which indicates that the applied technique is effective after being applied twice a week with a duration of 20 minutes each session, during three months to reduce neck pain and improve some aspects of the functionality during the execution of their work.
