The methodology on which this project is based is on the Integrated Generalizing Design Methodology developed by Víctor Papanek, this methodology focuses on social, ecological and responsible design, which is characterized by being intellectual and intuitive. It is mainly based on satisfying real needs, without generating other needs. Based on the research and management carried out on the companies in the textile and clothing sector of Cotopaxi, it was possible to achieve a network of contacts with the companies in the textile and clothing sector of the Province, which allowed obtaining the textile losses, the same ones that They were used for the construction of a textile through the various patchwork techniques and later for the development of the collection. At the conclusion of the investigation, in relation to the amount of textile waste generated by companies in the textile and clothing sector of Cotopaxi, it was not possible to determine an exact amount of textile waste that is generated and discarded by said companies. However, in the interviews with the companies, approximately 3 to 4 canvases were mentioned, which are equivalent to (approximately 78 and 117 kilos) of textile losses generated per month.
