Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-25) Perugachi Méndez, Nathaly Stephanie; Betancourt Chávez, Diego GustavoThe ancestral techniques of dyeing are manual practices that have been used for many years, even before the colonial era, these are the result of knowledge and ancient knowledge that have been transmitted from generation to generation, however, in recent decades These have lost the value and importance that they maintained years ago, even though most of them have now been replaced by synthetic and industrialized processes that contribute to pollution and environmental damage. That is why, through this project, it is intended to design a collection of sustainable clothing that incorporates natural dyeing techniques as the main part of the dyeing stage, in order to create eco-friendly garments that contribute to the care and preservation of natural resources. At the same time, with the help of the design methodology, it seeks to solve the devaluation of ancestral dyeing techniques and thereby make new generations aware of the existence of alternative dyeing processes in order to apply them in the textile and clothing industry. . In this way, a fashion collection is obtained as a result, which maintains the intervention of responsible practices that have been rescued from ancestral knowledge, to later be reflected in modern clothing. Finally, it must be taken into account that each phase of the dyeing process has a specific value and contribution, for which this process must be carried out rigorously and above all, maintaining responsibility in each of its stages, in order to finally obtain garments of dress sustainable.
