Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-09-26) Romero Crespín, Mae Salomé; Guamán Llamuca, Carlos AlbertoThe project is based on developing a collection of clothing from the reuse of unused garments obtained from the Caritas Association. This project was born after analyzing the problem of pollution generated by unused clothing, therefore this project is focused on reusing the donations of the foundation obtaining a collection suitable for the use of the foundation and its women from 25 to 30 years of age in the city of Quito. Therefore, the qualitative methodology was implemented, which allows to study the user and determine their tastes, needs, preferences and the occasion of use of the garments to be made, through surveys; therefore, the quantitative methodology is used through observation cards where the variety of clothing donated to the Caritas Association for vulnerable groups is examined, and the state in which the clothing in disuse is found can be identified. Therefore, the project generates an impact on society and more in the world of fashion, reducing waste by making use and taking advantage of them to develop new design proposals, demonstrating that we have a variety of resources to generate new designs; likewise, we inquired about the redesign of garments and what would be its benefits or advantages for the Caritas Association. Consequently, we propose the option of production and commercialization to the foundation, obtaining a new source of resources for their vulnerable groups, giving a change to their donated clothing, allowing that it is no longer considered as a garment in disuse or second hand and it is seen more as a redesigned garment which for a certain time will cease to be a waste and will extend its life time. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-25) Perugachi Méndez, Nathaly Stephanie; Betancourt Chávez, Diego GustavoThe ancestral techniques of dyeing are manual practices that have been used for many years, even before the colonial era, these are the result of knowledge and ancient knowledge that have been transmitted from generation to generation, however, in recent decades These have lost the value and importance that they maintained years ago, even though most of them have now been replaced by synthetic and industrialized processes that contribute to pollution and environmental damage. That is why, through this project, it is intended to design a collection of sustainable clothing that incorporates natural dyeing techniques as the main part of the dyeing stage, in order to create eco-friendly garments that contribute to the care and preservation of natural resources. At the same time, with the help of the design methodology, it seeks to solve the devaluation of ancestral dyeing techniques and thereby make new generations aware of the existence of alternative dyeing processes in order to apply them in the textile and clothing industry. . In this way, a fashion collection is obtained as a result, which maintains the intervention of responsible practices that have been rescued from ancestral knowledge, to later be reflected in modern clothing. Finally, it must be taken into account that each phase of the dyeing process has a specific value and contribution, for which this process must be carried out rigorously and above all, maintaining responsibility in each of its stages, in order to finally obtain garments of dress sustainable. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-17) Espinoza Hidalgo, Karen Viviana; Sánchez Sailema, Erika CatalinaIn this integrative project, the development of a clothing collection based on the reuse of garments will be announced, which will be handled with a sustainable and ecological fashion approach. This proposal was raised due to the environmental damage caused by the garments as they were constantly discarded for different reasons. The obtaining of the materials was by the same users with the donations of garments that they have made. The methodology that was obtained for this project was the proposal of Bruno Munari, since it is a guide for the creation of different types of design based on a problem. This methodology facilitates the resolution of the problem following the steps or stages of elaboration; that help the design to be first verified for its quality check and later the final realization of the same with all the pertinent corrections. Bruno Munari's project methodology has a fairly complete process to achieve an excellent final product, in terms of content and format. With this project, the importance of the role of textile and clothing design professionals in being able to contribute and solve the environmental problems that exist due to the large amount of textile waste produced by the fashion industry is made known. In addition to showing more options of materials that can be used to make garments, in this case the reuse of the same that have been discarded or no longer have any other use than being thrown in the garbage for different reasons. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-16) Rojano Quishpe, Gabriela Alexandra; Guamán Llamuca, Carlos AlbertoThe present project consists of designing a collection of women's clothing by applying the linear patternmaking system that performs linear and geometric traces, to reduce the amount of pre-consumer textile waste from 1% to 10%, being a sustainable strategy for companies in the city of Ambato. The research approach is qualitative, and tools such as interviews are applied to certain companies in the city of Ambato, and Victor Papanek's Integrated Generalizing Design methodology based on functionality and environmental care is also used. On the other hand, background research is conducted based on linear pattern making, sustainable fashion and service design, as well as on environmental pollution by the textile and apparel sector; and on pre-consumer textile waste and how linear pattern making contributes to it. Also, the external and internal factors and the necessary technologies are analyzed in relation to the provision of services in the design area. The design of a casual women's collection is developed according to the aforementioned methodology, proposing the design service to the Giving brand of the city of Ambato, therefore, the development of the proposal manages to reduce the amount of textile waste from 1% to 10%, and from this, functional, environmentally friendly and authentic garments are also obtained, as a result of the linear pattern making, which is a feasible and innovative proposal for companies. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-16) Hurtado Sancho, Paula Cristina; Taña Elizabeth, Escobar GuanoluisaIn recent decades, environmental changes have been more visible, as a result of industrialization and the consumerist society that has been generated with it, fashion is one of the systems that has been and is a fundamental part of the environmental problems that in the present are presented. The objective of this research is to capture the development of a sustainable company in the field of fashion and clothing manufacturing, transforming the practice of fashion design, and laying the foundations for a feasible development model for the benefit of the environment. This project addressed sustainable fashion through the research-action method whose purpose is to understand and respond to specific problems that occur in a community and that are linked to a group; thus understanding as a specific problem the pollution generated by the fashion industry and how it influences the space in which we inhabit, either in an environmental or social way or even both; Through the support of preconceived methodologies, it was possible to collect data and information to lay the foundations for the project. As results of the research, a sustainable business model was obtained based on successful theories and methodologies at the company level but modified towards the sustainability of its production processes, thus generating a support tool for future entrepreneurs; tool that was developed in this project by the company HURTEX with its brand SLOW Sustainable Fashion. Carrera de Diseño Textil e Indumentaria., 2022-03-16) Arequipa Tipantuña, Erika Maritza; Ponce Pérez, Celinda AnnabellaThis integrative project focuses on the development of a clothing collection incorporating the various patchwork techniques, with the reuse of textile waste discarded by companies in the textile and clothing sector of Cotopaxi, with the purpose of reducing the environmental impact they generate. these companies in the sector. The methodology on which this project is based is on the Integrated Generalizing Design Methodology developed by Víctor Papanek, this methodology focuses on social, ecological and responsible design, which is characterized by being intellectual and intuitive. It is mainly based on satisfying real needs, without generating other needs. Based on the research and management carried out on the companies in the textile and clothing sector of Cotopaxi, it was possible to achieve a network of contacts with the companies in the textile and clothing sector of the Province, which allowed obtaining the textile losses, the same ones that They were used for the construction of a textile through the various patchwork techniques and later for the development of the collection. At the conclusion of the investigation, in relation to the amount of textile waste generated by companies in the textile and clothing sector of Cotopaxi, it was not possible to determine an exact amount of textile waste that is generated and discarded by said companies. However, in the interviews with the companies, approximately 3 to 4 canvases were mentioned, which are equivalent to (approximately 78 and 117 kilos) of textile losses generated per month.
