The human papilloma virus is known as one of the most common sexually transmitted infections on a global scale, with the young population being the most exposed, due to the early start of an active sexual life without adequate knowledge about sexualeducation, which in the long or short term can lead to contagion of the famous STIs, for which a field study was carried out with a quantitative, descriptive and cross- sectional design approach with the objective of identifying the knowledge of nursing students about HPV; What is it, the different forms of contagion and the consequences that this infection brings. The research was carried out at the Technical University of Ambato, Ecuador, during the period May 2022 - April 2023. The population consisted of 179 students, divided into two groups, leveling students and first semester of the University, as an instrument a survey where 5 points were addressed I. Obtaining as evidence that the sample that was obtained in leveling was a frequency of 59, taking into account the students who answered that HPV is a virus, as in the first semester the frequency was 99, those students were discarded due to a margin of error. that gave a different answer to Virus, generating that our total sample is 157 students.
