    The majority of the world population makes use of herbal medicine as a remedy for multiple pathologies either because of cultural tradition or because there are no other therapeutic options based on it, this research project was developed with the objective of analyze the use of plants medicinal products as analgesic-anti-inflammatory effect in the Palora Canton. For this, a qualitative-quantitative, documentary, descriptive and transversal temporality methodology was used that involved 322 people from the Palora canton. of the communities of: Chinimpe, Panquisha, San Luis, Shiram, Las Palmas. As data collection techniques, the survey was used, which was applied to know the predilection of both the conventional and alternative treatment that residents have to certain pathologies and the reasons for their consumption. Through the study it was possible to conclude that the Palora canton has limited access to health services of first level so that conventional treatments are little used in the community and taking into account that the vegetation is abundant and biodiverse it is common for its inhabitants to choose to use mainly medicinal plants with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects for multiple pathologies because this type of medicine has been shown to be effective in restoring and caring for health.
