    Introduction: The societal shifts, urban planning and scientific and technological developments have resulted in transformations in the healthy lifestyles of university students. These changes have impacted multiple facets including physical activity, dietary patterns, stress coping mechanisms, alcohol and tobacco consumption, sleep quality, and overall lifestyle choices. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive there was study done usin g a cross-sectional design, to investigate a targeted population of Ecuadorian public university students who are enrolled in nursing. The survey was administered using the Microsoft Forms platform, employing the EVISAUN version 3 questionnaire, which evaluates healthy lifestyle and overall health in university students. The questionnaire demonstrated a high content validity (Q(10)=0.90, p=0.000). Data processing and analysis were performed using Excel, and the findings were presented using statistical grap hs. Results: The participant’s average age was 21.31 years. Findings showed that 46% of the respondents ceased exercising upon entering university, and only 2% engage in more physical exercise. Only 15% reported no difficulty in falling asleep during the w eek. Academic activities were identified as a source of stress for 69% of the participants. A total of 88% do not consume alcohol or smoke, while 5% frequently consume alcoholic beverages and are at risk. Additionally, 62% have an unhealthy diet, and 33% express excessive salt consumption. Furthermore, 34% have a daily fluid intake of 500 milliliters. Conclusions: It is concluded that nursing students do not have a healthy lifestyle in terms of their eating habits
