LA COMUNICACIÓN EN EL CUIDADO HUMANIZADO BRINDADO POR EL PROFESIONAL DE ENFERMERÍA
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Ganán López, Karen Daniela; Chasillacta Amores, Fabiola Beatriz
Communication in humanized care allows an adequate development of the nurse/patient relationship with the objective of obtaining the necessary information that contributes to the planning of holistic care, thus satisfying all the patient’s needs. Information on communication and its importance in the quality humanized care provided by the nursing professional was analyzed. To carry out this research, a documentary study methodology was used, which took into account those papers and scientific publications published between 2019 and 2023, which are freely available, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, using databases such as Google Scholar, SciELO, Dialnet, Redalyc, Elsevier for their search and selecting through the PRISMA method those that contribute to the research. Thanks to the analysis of the available information, it became evident that in addition to the relevance of this communicative process in the quality of care, there are negative points that limit its full development, the importance of appropriate academic training along with the constant training of the professional to adequately handle such situations and finally the perception that patients and / or family has.

Introduction: The care provided in the intensive care unit has recognized significant scenarios regarding the provision of activities focused on prolonging life, however, decision-making should be considered under bioethical criteria governed by the participation of the user and family. Methodology: A descriptivedocumentary review was carried out based on the analysis of scientific data registered in Scielo, PubMed and bibliographic managers linked to the research topic, using PRISMA diagram, search equations such as "Ethics AND Limitation of Therapeutic Effort" OR Intensive Care Unit. Results: We found 30 articles which allowed us to know the bioethical aspects of the limitation of therapeutic effort within the intensive care unit. Conclusion: The application of the limitation of therapeutic effort within the intensive care unit is still controversial due to the legal repercussions that this implies, however, the health professional has the necessary training in the bioethical field to make a pertinent judgment regarding the development of restrictive measures for futility or non-beneficence

“Percepción de los familiares del paciente hospitalizado en la unidad de cuidados intensivos ante la intervención de enfermería durante la crisis circunstancial en el hospital general Ambato, periodo octubre 2018 – enero 2019”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Enfermería, 2019-03-01) Revelo Burgos, Dayana Amarely; Peñafiel Paucar, Miriam del Rocío Lic. Mg.
Family plays a very important role in patient recovery. Despite this, it is rarely considered as an important recovery component in nursing practices. As such, we decided to carry out the current research with the objective of determining the perception of relatives regarding patient care provided by nursing staff at the Intensive Care Unit of Ambato General Hospital. The research project uses a quantitative methodology, non-experimental field research design, with a cross-sectional type of descriptive research, the study population was made up of family members identified in the period established by the project with a total of 32 participants included by close relatives such as: parents, mothers, spouses, children; through the application of a structured interview, which was carried out in the Intensive Care Unit of the Ambato General Hospital. Finally, it was concluded that the relatives of the patients consider a very good nursing care, in the three dimensions studied, the quality of attention, emotional support and finally the level of communication between the nursing staff and the relatives, however there are aspects to improve, such as: the nursing staff must first identify their relatives so that they know and establish good communication with the staff in charge of their patient during the hospital stay.
