In the case of pregnant women, attitudes towards the adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccine can be varied. Objective: To analysed the attitude of pregnant women towards the adverse effects of the COVID 19 vaccine. Methods: Qualitative, exploratory study with a phenomenological approach. The study population was pregnant women who had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the parish of Mulliquindil, Canton of Santa Ana, in the main area of Ecuador. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with thirteen participants, at which time the information was saturated. The data obtained were transcribed, analysed, and categorized based on the theory of Baez and Pérez. Results: Two categories emerged from the informants' discourse: negative attitudes such as fear, uncertainty, anguish, worry; and positive attitudes such as seeking information on the adverse effects of the vaccine to comply with the indicated scheme. Conclusions: The main attitudes taken by pregnant women regarding the adverse effects of the vaccine against COVID-19, were influenced by the excess of information and unreliable sources that produce a misinterpretation leading to fear, uncertainty even to the abandonment of the vaccination scheme. Likewise, not much importance is given to immunization against COVID-19.Item Análisis de los factores de riesgo en embarazadas con obesidad que acuden al centro de salud tipo C Saquisili(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-11-01) Pinsha Defaz, Evelyn Dayana; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelLic.
