Item ANSIEDAD Y DEPRESIÓN COMO CAMBIO FISIOLÓGICO O PATOLÓGICO EN EL EMBARAZO: REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA(2025-06-17) Garcés Cano Nahomi Micaela; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia Isabel; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaPregnancy is a physiological and psychological process that women go through, becoming a sensitive point for developing mental pathologies such as anxiety and depression in the prenatal stage, associated with related causative risk factors. Objective: To determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression levels (physiological or pathological) in pregnant women to promote education during the prenatal stage. Methods: A systematic search was conducted in electronic databases such as PubMed, Scielo, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Dialnet, following PRISMA guidelines. Observational studies published between 2019 and 2024 that investigated anxiety and depression as physiological or pathological changes in pregnancy were included. Results: The symptoms of anxiety and depression are related to their origin, whether physiological or pathological, leading to various complications for the dyad that pose a life-threatening risk, and are also associated with risk factors and the history of the pregnant woman's pathologies. Conclusion: The bibliographic review conducted will support the updating and promotion of knowledge about mental disorders that silently affect pregnant women, caused by various risk factors that further exacerbate adverse effects, making depression and anxiety become a proper pathology according to the CIE-10.Item PERCEPCIÓN DE LAS EMBARAZADAS SOBRE ANSIEDAD Y EL USO DE TERAPIAS ALTERNATIVAS COMO APOYO EMOCIONAL(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Ati Andino, Alison Mirley; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelAccording to PAHO, anxiety and depression during pregnancy turn out to be disorders of mood and emotions that the mother presents during this stage, these being a mental health condition that can affect significantly in some cases and in others mildly. During the pregnancy stage, physical and psychological changes occur caused by sentimental problems, hormonal changes, unplanned or unwanted pregnancies. The objective of the study focuses on describing the perception of pregnant women aboutanxiety and depression disorders and the use of alternative therapies. Methods: The research has a qualitative design, a narrative phenomenological, and an in-depth semi-structured interview of 10 questions, carried out in Ambato-Tungurahua with 10 pregnant university women. The autor presented the results showing that the participants know the symptoms of anxiety and have sometimes suffered from them without it considerably affecting their life, they manage the use of alternative therapy on their own andmention that it has been very helpful. help to relax, they also stated that at the level of the Ministry of Health they are not educated on this issue. The results of this study have managed to meet the objectives established at the beginning of the research, with the potential to contribute significantly to the well-being of future mothers and children.Item ROL DE ENFERMERÍA EN LA ANSIEDAD DE LA PACIENTE EN PERIODO PRENATAL(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-29) Telenchana Telenchana, Aracelly Belèn; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelIntroduction: Pregnancy involves important physical and emotional changes in women, which can generate psychological disorders, making it a priority research topic for public health. Anxiety generates excessive and persistent worries, classified as the second most disabling mental disorder in American countries. For this reason, health professionals must participate in educational, preventive and therapeutic interventions. Methodology: A systematic bibliographic review of articles with the criteria (PRISMA) was carried out through a search in health science databases: Pbmed, Scielo y Elsevier. Results: Review tables were made divided by subtopics: 1) Articles were reviewed in relation to prenatal anxiety, 2) Factors associated with prenatal anxiety and 3) Nursing role in prenatal anxiety. Discussion: The articles reviewed on the risk factors for prenatal anxiety agree that low social/family support, domestic violence, low economic income, as well as a history of psychological disorders give rise to psychological and emotional health problems of the pregnant woman. Which evidenced the need to educate the pregnant patient to clarify doubts throughout the pregnancy. Conclusion: Nursing, being the staff that has the first contact with the patient, has to participate as an educator in the controls that the mother undergoes in the different health entities in order to identify alterations in both physical and mental health.Item NIVEL DE ANSIEDAD EN ADOLESCENTES CON SOBREPESO U OBESIDAD(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-29) Salazar Chérrez, Verónica Juliana; Arraíz de Fernández, CarolinaObjective: To determine the level of anxiety in overweight or obese adolescents. Material and Method: Quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional study, conducted from April to August 2023, in an educational unit of the canton of Ambato, Province of Tungurahua, Ecuador. From a population of 109 students, the final sample consisted of 71 adolescents with overweight or obesity belonging to the eighth, ninth and tenth grades of General Basic Education (GBS). To measure anxiety, the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) questionnaire was used, which has been validated with high reliability (Cronbach's alpha: 0.82); for nutritional status, waist circumference (WC) and body mass index (BMI) were measured, along with the demographic variables sex and age. Results: 54% male, 38% in the ninth year of GBS and a moderate level of anxiety. Conclusions: More than half of the adolescents are overweight and obese, with a predominance of males, especially in the ninth year of GBS, and there is a moderate level of anxiety in most of the sample studied, with a higher frequency in females. It is important for nursing staff educate the population, especially adolescents, about the health benefits of a healthy lifestyle.Item Estado de salud mental en madres de recién nacidos ingresados en el servicio de neonatología(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-13) Padilla Sailema, Alejandra Elizabeth; Fernández Soto, Gerardo FernandoIntroduction: alterations in mental health during the postpartum period have high morbidity in mothers of hospitalized newborns, constituting an important public health problem. Objective: To evaluate the state of mental health in mothers of newborns admitted to the Neonatology Service. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, nonexperimental, cross-sectional research was carried out, with a census sample of 50 mothers of newborns hospitalized at the Neonatology Service of Hospital General Docente Ambato; the Edinburgh postpartum depression questionnaire, the Goldberg scale to identify anxiety, and the Beck hopelessness scale to identify the negative expectations that a person has about their future and well-being, were applied. Results: In newborns´ mothers’ sociodemographic data predominated: 26-30 years, single, secondary academic level, housewives, primiparous; in the state of mental health: 66% of mothers suffer anxiety, 50% have no risk of postpartum depression, while 36% indicate suspicion of postpartum depression and 54% show a low risk of hopelessness. Conclusion: mothers' mental health status is affected in the postpartum period because of their child’s hospitalization, with the onset of mental disorders such as postpartum depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.Item Estrés y ansiedad en los estudiantes de primaria en tiempos de covid-19(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-11-01) Casa Toapanta, Jessica Alexandra; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina Dra.The COVID-19 pandemic has become a global health problem, with Ecuador being one of the most affected Latin American countries. This disease has been classified as a trigger of stress in the population, prompting prevention measures around the world. The main objective of this study was to identify the causes that cause stress and anxiety in elementary school students in times of COVID-19 in the “Barrio Pupana Sur”. The research was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, where a census sample of 200 primary school students was taken into account. For data collection, two surveys were used, the infant daily stress inventory test and the Spencer test. Similarly, the ethical principles indicated in the Declaration of Helsinki in relation to research on human beings were taken into account, taking into account the ethical principles of respect, confidentiality and autonomy of the study participants. The results obtained showed a low level of stress and anxiety, in the different categories, such as health problems 86.5%, school environment 81.5%, family environment 90%, panic attack and agarphobia 96.1%, separation anxiety 96.5%, social phobia 91%, fear of physical harm 94.5%, obsessive compulsive disorder 95%, generalized anxiety disorder 97.5%. Concluding that there are several reasons why the level of stress and anxiety is low, among them we have the constant help of parents, dynamic strategies by teachers, allowing a good academic performance.Item Efectos psicológicos producidos por la pandemia de covid-19 en los niños de 8 a 9 años de la escuela particular bilingüe Pelileo(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Llamuca Sarabia, Virginia Katherine; Cusme Torres, Nadihezka Amanda Lic. Mg.La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar los efectos psicológicos producidos por la pandemia de COVID-19 en los niños de 8 a 9 años de la Escuela Particular Bilingüe Pelileo. Para lo cual se desarrolló un estudio cuantitativo, basado en una investigación de campo de corte transversal, con un nivel descriptivo, considerando a la población objeto de estudio fueron infantes de 8 a 9 años de edad, de la institución educativa en mención, la muestra fue determinada por criterios de inclusión como rango de edad, alumnado de la institución y quienes deseen participar en la investigación, excluyendo aquellos que no cumplieron con estos ítems de selección, por lo cual se obtuvo una muestra de 28 estudiantes. Se aplicó como instrumento de recolección de datos una encuesta basada en el Cuestionario de Ansiedad Infantil (CAS) y el Cuestionario de Depresión Infantil (CDI), que tras haber sido aplicados y procesados dieron como resultado la presencia del síndrome de ansiedad en el 78.57% de la población infantil, quienes presentaron signos asociados, evasión de responsabilidades, incremento de ira, nerviosismo, sentimiento de dependencia y retraimiento. De igual forma se identificó la presencia del síndrome depresión en el 100% de los niños. El cual se divide en un nivel leve en el 64.29% de los casos y una condición grave en el 35.71%. Estableciendo recomendaciones que mejoren la salud mental de los niños como la promoción del dialogo con los padres, y la creación de rutinas que incluyan actividades físicas como rumba terapia.Item Ansiedad y depresión en pacientes con hemodiálisis del hospital general Ambato(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Pillajo Pillajo, Sandy Jacqueline; Arráiz de Fernández, Carolina Md. Esp.Introduction: Hemodialysis is the most common method of treating chronic kidney failure; however, the therapeutic regimen, together with the evolution of the disease and its complications, have been related to the presence of psychological alterations such as anxiety and depression. Objective: To identify the presence of anxiety and depression and their level of severity in patients with hemodialysis at Hospital General Ambato. Method: Quantitative, descriptive, field and cross-sectional study, with a universe of 50 patients from the hemodialysis service of the Hospital General Ambato who gave their consent to participate, the instrument used for data collection was the Goldberg anxiety and depression scale being processed in the SPSS version 18 program. Finally, the ethical aspects described in the Declaration of Helsinki and the bioethical principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, justice and autonomy were taken into account. Results: The highest incidence of patients are men (60%), married people (62%), 60 to 69 year old (34%), who have been in treatment for more than 2 years (64%), and with diabetes mellitus (38%) as an associated chronic pathology. All 50 patients (100%) presented anxiety, predominates the mild level (50%), followed by moderate (36%) and severe (14%) and 49 (98%) patients presented depression: mild (56%) followed by moderate (32%) and severe (10%). Only one patient did not present depression occupying 2%. Conclusions: There is a predominance of the mild level of depression in hemodialysis patients. In this case, the need for psychological support was evaluated.Item Efectos en la salud mental por aislamiento social en los habitantes del barrio san Sebastiàn del Canton Latacunga(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Jiménez Jaramillo, Diana Stefania; Moyano Calero, Willian Eudrilir Lic. Mg.Introduction: Metal health is the direct or indirect activities that consist of physical, metal and social well-being. Diseases related to mental disorders, both mild and severe, cause restlessness or disturb a person's ability to move and social relationships. The psychological alterations go from isolated symptoms to serious and complex disorders marking a deterioration in their functionality such as insomnia, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders, which arise from the alteration of the environment in which the individual develops. Social isolation can be created when an individual moves away from his environment either voluntarily or involuntarily since at present social isolation has been given by fear of suffering the contagion of a pathogenic agent that affects health. Objective: To analyze the effects on mental health due to social isolation in the inhabitants of the San Sebastian neighborhood in the canton of Latacunga. Methods: The present investigation employs a quantitative cross-sectional approach, which sampled 314 inhabitants of Barrio San Sebastian in Latacunga County through simple random sampling. For the collection of data, it was used the questionnaire DASS21 which allowed measuring parameters of stress, anxiety and depression, besides it was included 5 sociodemographic items and a question focused on measuring the percentage of fulfillment of social isolation. The collected data were analyzed through the statistical program SPSS. Results: The present investigation has determined that within the population of the San Sebastian neighbourhood, depression has manifested itself in 4.14%, in a minimum level of 1 and maximum of 4, related to social isolation in 12.9%, as far as anxiety is concerned, it has manifested itself in 1.91% with a minimum level of 1 and maximum of 4, correlated to social isolation in 7.7% while stress has manifested itself in 5.73% with a minimum level of 1 and maximum of 4, related to social xiv isolation in 9.1%. Thus, social isolation has affected the mental health of 10.1% of the inhabitants. Conclusions: Social isolation has affected the mental health of 10.1% of the inhabitants of the San Sebastian neighbourhood in the canton of Latacunga, the main effect being stress. However, those who do not comply with the social isolation have also presented, stress, anxiety and depression therefore it is evident that there are other factors that cause damage to the psychological and emotional state of people and may already be by the conditions of the current pandemic and the new normal or other personal factors.Item Efectos psicológicos producidos por covid-19 en el adulto mayor del centro de acogida del cantón Píllaro, periodo marzo – septiembre 2020(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Paucar Ramos, Jhomara Lisseth; Costales Coronel, Blanca GeorginaLcda. Mg.The COVID-19 pandemic shows the difficulties of older adults who are affected in their physical and mental health, which as a consequence of the measures taken by the government to safeguard their health has as a consequence the appearance of psychological effects . As a general objective we have Describe the psychological effects produced by COVID-19 in the elderly at the Seños de los Remedios reception center in Píllaro canton. The methodology used in this project was quantitative, descriptive, which corresponds to the cross-sectional field design because a statistical analysis of the psychological effects produced by COVID-19 was carried out in the elderly at the Señor de los Remedios reception center, in a determined period with real data, which will be obtained from the three scales of anxiety, depression and stress maintaining the inclusion and exclusion criteria where the results establish that one of the most relevant psychological effects was anxiety with a 68.06% percentage where Older adults manifested signs and symptoms such as headache, worry, tremors, and tension.
