Item ROL DE ENFERMERÍA EN PACIENTES CON CÁNCER DE MAMA(2025-06-17) Trejo Morejón, Karol Dayana; Cusme Torres, Nadihezka Amanda; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaBreast cancer in Ecuador has been increasing over the years. It has been found that the risk of developing breast cancer is 38.2 cases per 100,000 women. Late diagnosis of the disease results in increased healthcare costs. The research was conducted at the Dr. Julio Enrique Paredes Oncology Hospital and was based on a qualitative, phenomenological approach with a descriptive scope. Eleven nurses participated, and semistructured interviews were conducted to understand their roles, difficulties, and needs for emotional support, impactful experiences in their careers, challenges in caring for mastectomized patients, specialized training, emotional support for patients and their families, management of oncology services, and the risks and safety measures in handling cytostatics. It was concluded that their main role is direct care and, above all, psychological support, which is essential in treatment. Nurses tend to be disciplined in administering medication at the correct times and especially in preparing these drugs, prioritizing the safety of both themselves and the patient.Item Cuidados de enfermería en la higiene bucal de pacientes intubados revisión de la literatura(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermeria, 2024-05-01) Sisa Muyulema, Ximena Alexandra; Rojas Conde, Luis Geovanny Lic Mg.Objective: Determine nursing care in oral hygiene of intubated patients through a bibliographic review. The bibliographic review was developed with nine bibliographic sources, predominantly qualitative and in English. Results: oral hygiene care generally includes the use of oral antiseptics such as chlorhexidine, brushing with small soft bristles, suction and hydration of the oral cavity to reduce plaque formation and consequently infections and mortality in intubated patients. Conclusion: it is established that nursing care in oral hygiene of intubated patients is essential to keep the oral cavity clean, stimulate saliva flow, avoid inflammation, pain and discomfort in the patient, keep the mucosa and lips hydrated and above all reduce dental plaque, microbial and colonization of the oropharynx.Item Aplicación de la técnica SBAR-SAER por parte del profesional de enfermería(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-11) Chacha Benítez, María Elizabeth; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelThe present study analyzed the application of the SBAR-SAER technique by nursing professionals.
