Item Trastornos de ansiedad en adultos mayores durante la pandemia Covid-19(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-06-13) Poaquiza Aman, Lizeth Esthefania; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelThe COVID-19 pandemic has affected different populations, of which the most vulnerable is the one made up by older adults, since in this population the risk factors are more than the protector ones against a disease that has a varied symptomatology, all these things has generated in the elderly a feeling of haplessness and insecurity, which can become symptoms of an anxiety disorder. Objective: to analyze the level of anxiety in older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results: regarding demographic variables, it was found that most of the population studied were men between 60 to 79 years old; the elderly in Santa Rosa parish have a moderate level of anxiety; 15 of the 21 symptoms evaluated were presented with equal intensity in men and women. Conclusions: the most frequent symptoms were strong and accelerated heartbeats, weakening of the legs, fear of the worst happening, a feeling of dizziness, insecurity and trembling body, all these symptoms are found in the test used (Beck´s Anxiety Inventory or BAI); the most frequent level of anxiety as moderate anxiety.Item Intervenciones de enfermería en adolescentes con alteraciones psicológicas durante la pandemia Covid–19(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-06-09) Ramos Fonseca, Karen Yanara; Venegas Mera, BeatrizAnxiety and depression are very common psychological disorders in adolescents that compromise their well-being and affect their way of life, these disorders canarise for various reasons such as stress, excessive worry and other triggers. As a result of the emergence of the SARS-COV 2 virus, society faced several adverse situations that negatively affected the mental health of this vulnerable group. The objective of the present investigation was to analyze the psychological alterations in adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic, for which a representative sample of 150 students was calculated so as to measure their anxiety and depression using Beck inventories, this allowed us to know that a significant level of students suffers from moderate and severe levels of these disorders, with the information obtained a proposal for nursing interventions was developed based on the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy aiming to achieve favorable results in the treatment of these conditions, these affectations are serious since they put people's health and lives at risk. For this reason, the proposed nursing interventions will allow a favorable and timely treatment to reduce the levels of anxiety and depression in adolescents, by improving their quality of life and decreasing the incidence of these conditions.Item Cuidados de enfermería en personas con trastornos de ansiedad(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-06-08) Torres Lozada, Vanessa Judith; Moyano Calero, WillianIntroduction: Anxiety is characterized by excessive fear and worry, whose symptoms are severe enough to cause anguish or functional disability, so this type of disorder is considered a serious problem at the healthcare level. Objective: To identify nursing care in people who live in a parish, in the canton of Salcedo-Ecuador. Methodology: This is a quantitative study, with a descriptive -comparative scope, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, carried out on 50 people during the months of March-August 2022. The variables studied were: sociodemographic characteristics, levels of anxiety and nursing. Be careful with anxiety. Information on sociodemographic characteristics was collected and the Hamilton scale was reduced to assess the level of anxiety. Results: 40% of people suffer from moderate anxiety. Psychic anxiety (66%) and somatic anxiety (80%) were found at moderate levels. Anxiety levels prevailed between 22 and 32 years old, with single marital status and occupation as entrepreneurs. Conclusion: The main nursing care reported in this study for the treatment of anxiety were relaxation, physical activity and listening, which are considered effective because they managed to balance moods by diverting attention from anxiety-generating factors.Item Terapia alternativa para el cuidado de enfermería en adultos mayores(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-06-08) Logroño Padilla, Jessica Alexandra; Mejías de Duarte, MarianelaAnxiety is a common emotional disorder in the elderly that stems from physiological, emotional and social changes. Objective: to determine the effect of alternative therapy for nursing care in older adults. Methodology: quantitative, descriptive quasi-experimental study that included a total of 50 older adults from the "Izamba sin Fronteras" Association of the city of Ambato in the province of Tungurahua-Ecuador and with whom a four-week intervention was carried out. With music therapy to reduce anxiety, a sociodemographic record and the StateRank Anxiety Inventory (STAI) were used as data collection techniques, which evaluate state-anxiety and rank-anxiety. Results: Music therapy proved to be beneficial in reducing anxiety in older adults, since after its use state-anxiety was significantly reduced; before the intervention it was present in 66% and at the end of the intervention in 2%, in the case of anxiety-trait the decrease was not achieved. Student's T test showed a significant difference between initia l and final total anxiety, which suggests the usefulness of music therapy in reducing anxiety in older adults. Conclusion: the use of music therapy as an alternative therapy in nursing care for the elderly with anxiety is effective, it significantly reduce s state anxiety. Further research with the STAI inventory and music therapy is recommended as an alternative therapy for older adults.Item Relación entre ansiedad, depresión y riesgo suicida en adolescentes del Ecuador(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-06-08) León Quevedo, Evelyn Dayana; Herrera Calderón, Verónica PaulinaSuicide is a social problem that affects the world population and is related to anxiety and depression, especially during adolescence. The aim of this study was to describe the suicidal risk in a sample of adolescents with factors associated with anxiety and depression. This is an observational, prospective, cross-sectional and analytical study; relational type, with the participation of 121 adolescents aged between 12 and 17 with a mean age of 15.65 and standard deviation of 2.030. The Suicide Orientation Inventory (ISO-30), the Beck Anxiety Questionnaire and the Kovacs Depression Questionnaire were used. Moderate suicidal risk was found in 52.9%; in relation to anxiety, 58.7% registered a low level, 25.6% moderate anxiety and 15.7% severe anxiety. For depression, 72.7% obtained severe levels, 19% mild, while 8.3% severe. A degree of association was determined between suicidal risk and anxiety (p= ,001 < 0.05) and absence of relationship between suicidal risk and depression (p > 0.05). Finally, it was concluded that the population studied had a moderate suicidal risk, moderate levels of anxiety and depression.Item Adopción del rol del cuidador principal del paciente adulto posterior a una estancia hospitalaria(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-06-08) Garcés Barros, Pablo Joan; Mejías de Duarte, MarianelaThe fundamental axis of the patient and his family produces a change within the family nucleus, a situation of hospitalization demanding a greater dedication of time to the affected person and leaving aside daily situations such as work, education, personal care, rest, etc. Fostering a situation of stress and anxiety that increases over time and makes this a burden, generally making the caregiver ill. Objective: To know the role of the main caregiver of an adult patient after a hospital stay. Methodology: The present study has a quantitative, nonexperimental descriptive approach; The study population is made up of 120 main caregivers who are in charge of adult patients discharged from the hospital unit. The data collection was through a physical survey for the analysis of the data collected for the assessment of the role of the caregiver of the chronic patient. Results: The main caregiver of an adult patient after a hospital stay, for the most part, answers always with the majority of the questions asked in the survey having a percentage of 23%, while they answer that almost always a percentage of 19%, sometimes with a percentage of 20%, almost never with a percentage of 19% and, never with a percentage of 19%, this indicates that caregivers focus on their role for the longest time. Conclusions: The experience of caring involves great responsibility and enormous effort, causing an increase in caregiver burden
