Item EXPERIENCIA DE VIDA DE UNA ESTUDIANTE DE ENFERMERÍA CON CÁNCER(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-04) Ruiz Quinapanta, Allison Daniela; Pachucho Flores, Ana PamelaCancer is a pathology that can originate in almost any organ or tissue of the body, all cancers, has the same underlying basis: cells out of control which accumulate forming tumors, but there is another variant of the disease in which tumors are not necessarily formed despite the uncontrolled multiplication of cells in the blood, as in the case of leukemia. Objective: To relate the life experience of a nursing student with cancer; (2) Methods: This study has a qualitative approach, case study design and descriptive scope, through the narration of experiences and perceptions of a nursing student with cancer during her educational process. The technique used is a semi-structured interview, prior to the application of an informed consent, once the information was collected it was recorded and transcribed in order not to lose any important information; (3) Results: This inspiring story highlights the importance of mutual support and empathy in times of adversity; (4) Conclusions: it was possible to demonstrate that, through unwavering determination, courage and perseverance, the power of caring and compassion are fundamental axes in the recovery of health, which affects not only patients but also those who care for them.Item USO DEL CANNABIS MEDICINAL EN ELALIVIO DEL DOLOR(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Cunalata Castro, Stefania Aracely; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy CristinaIntroduction: The use of cannabis has been a rather controversial issue, starting from its legalization in some countries, the way in which it is consumed either for the benefit of health or recreationally, currently its medicinal use is on the rise due to the fact that analgesic drugs are unfavorable in patients suffering from chronic pain, which has made cannabis an alternative means of pain relief. Methodology: Obtaining the information was based on the PRISMA diagram for the initial search of scientific articles in databases such as: Scopus, PubMed and Google Scholar, using the search equation "medicinal cannabis AND pain". The selection of scientific documents was made using the following inclusion criteria: Articles that were original or systematic review, that the title of the document contains the terms cannabis, pain, health, alternative treatment, pain relief, free access articles in English and Spanish, published between 2018 and 2023. Incomplete documents or whose methodology was not consistent with the subject of the study were excluded. Results: 54 articles were found which allowed to know the benefits that the use of cannabis represents in pain relief.Item ATENCIÓN DE ENFERMERÍA EN PACIENTES ONCOLÓGICOS CON CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Cañaveral Estrella, Nieves Liseth; López Pérez, Grace PamelaIntroduction: Cancer continues to be a problem in health care, especially in cancer patients with terminal diagnoses, the execution of palliative care is aimed at improving the quality of life by providing a dignified death. Objective: Describe nursing care in cancer patients with palliative care. Methodology: Systematic review in selected studies or investigations through the application of the PRISMA method. Results: Selection and analysis of 16 original and review articles that meet the selection criteria under reliable supports. Discussion: The number of selected articles supports the importance of nursing care in cancer patients, describes the symptoms present regardless of the type of cancer the patient presents, and also explains the degree of patient satisfaction with the interventions carried out. by nursing. Conclusions: Palliative care has become a fundamental point in the care of patients with oncological diseases, nursing has a fundamental role where their care is focused on physical, psychological and emotional well-being to offer comfort to both the patient and their family until the end of the day. end of life Palliative care focuses on the integrality of the patient's quality of life.Item Conocimientos del cuidador informal en el manejo del paciente oncológico en fase paliativa(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-03-01) Verdesoto Tenorio, Shirley Maria; Quenorán Almeida, Verónica Sófia Lic. Mg.Introduction: Informal caregivers are the fundamental pillar of patients in palliative phase since they adopt the role of helping with the basic needs of the person they care for, reducing physical and emotional suffering, helping to maintain quality of life. There are studies that indicate that if extra support is given to their families, they could improve the quality of life of people with cancer in palliative phase by reducing various symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, fatigue and lack of appetite. Objective: To analyze the knowledge of the informal caregiver in the management of cancer patients in the palliative phase. Materials and Methods: the study was qualitative and descriptive, whose population was made up of 6 informal caregivers who, through the application of a semi-structured interview of 10 questions, commented on their experiences. In the organization and data processing, the Microsoft Excel program was used. To demonstrate the main findings, the analysis tables and checklists were optimized. Results and Discussion: the majority of informal caregivers are women who do not have sufficient knowledge to face this type of situation, so they have to go through experiences of suffering since most cancers are detected stage III and IV Conclusion: The experience of Home caregiver means a difficult scenario for which they are not trained, therefore it is necessary to improve their strengths by substantially improving their knowledge.Item Estrés por sobrecarga en el cuidador informal de pacientes oncologicos en la instancia domiciliaria(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Pilatasig Chato, Mónica Maricela; Castillo Siguencia, Rosa Mercedes Lic.Introduction: the informal caregiver is the person who provides help and support to the person with some disability that hinders the normal development of their vital activities, usually, it is family or friends who provide the care. Objective: to identify the level of stress overload in informal caregivers of cancer patients at home. Methods: a qualitative type of research was carried out, because it was based on having a conversation with the informal caregiver, the researcher interacted with the subjects of study obtaining answers to questions based on the experience of daily coexistence with the oncology patient. Likewise, information was collected through an interview with the primary caregiver, who answered several questions that were recorded with the permission of the individual interviewed. Results: emotions such as mental stress, physical and social overload were identified. In addition, it is established that the informal or primary caregiver spends an average of 6-24 hours a day on caregiving, whereby personal life has changed drastically, their daily activities are no longer carried out in the same order. Conclusion: it is concluded that stress overload in the informal caregiver of cancer patients in the home setting is caused by the drastic change in the caregiver's personal life, that is, the daily routine in combination with the care of the family member led to physical and social exhaustion.
