However, it seems that there is a low level of knowledge and applicability in relation to these alternative therapies. Thus, the objective was to determine the use of alternative therapies in nursing care. To achieve this, a quantitative descriptive approach with a cross-sectional design was used. The participants were 100 nurses from the province of Tungurahua selected through a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience to whom a questionnaire about alternative therapies was applied. The results indicated that training and knowledge regarding alternative therapies were low among nursing professionals, despite their medium level of applicability. The most known therapies were massage therapy and aromatherapy, while massage therapy, again, and relaxation were the most used by nursing staff. These findings underscore the need for improved training and education in alternative therapies in the nursing setting in order to maximize their beneficial potential for patients.Item Conocimientos sobre covid-19 en estudiantes de la carrera de Enfermería(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermeria, 2022-09-01) Martínez Escobar, Karla Estefanía; Fernández Soto, Gerardo Fernando PhD.
