    Relación de ingreso a terapia intensiva vs vacunación contra Covid-19

    The covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on global public health. During which, the implementation of mass vaccination strategies has become a crucial tool to control the spread of the virus and reduce the disease burden to very serious parameters. Objective. Analyze the relationship between admission to intensive therapy and vaccination against covid-19. Methods. Systematic review, the information was collected using the descriptors in Health Sciences: covid-19 vaccines; enter; Intensive Care Units and their combinations in academic databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus and the Google Scholar search engine, during the months of January and February 2023. Results. The mean age of the patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit was 54-64 years and male; In addition, evidence was found that vaccination against covid-19 significantly reduces the probability that a vaccinated person will enter the Intensive Care Unit, a lower mortality rate of hospitalized adults over 65 years of age was identified. The clinical antecedents were fatigue, dyspnea, loss of the sense of taste, cardiac alterations, chest pain, muscle pain, headache. Conclusions. The evidence collected in this research suggests a relationship reverse between admission to ICUs due to covid-19 and the vaccination schedule for each patient. Vaccination against covid-19 significantly reduces the probability that a vaccinated person will enter the Intensive Care Unit.

    Uso de medicina alternativa para tratar síntomas de Covid-19

    The use of alternative medicine helps to prevent the symptoms generated by Covid-19, among the methods is phytotherapy or herbal therapy, homeopathy acupuncture, among others, all with different functions such as moxibustion, for coughs, flu, lungs, pain body, breathing, etc. Although some people do not use it due to the few results in improving their health. In this article, the use of alternative medicine to treat symptoms of Covid-19 was analyzed through a quantitative exploratory approach, the population was taken through a simple random nonprobabilistic sampling of 40 people from the Baños parish of Ulba between 30 At 60 years as results it was obtained that, among the most frequently used methods was phytotherapy with 65%, followed by homeopathy with 15% and acupuncture with 12.5%. It was concluded that it is important to know the benefits that contributes to health using alternative medicine such as medicinal plants to improve health and in this case to a virus that has affected and caused the death of countless people.

    Efectos post aplicación de vacunas Covid-19 en estudiantes de enfermería

    Introduction: Adverse effects when applying the Covid-19 vaccine such as: Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Pfizer each with different side reactions, whether mild or moderate, disappear shortly after its application, however, there are people who do not present any adverse reaction. Although some suffer from serious effects that can be hospitalized due to its complexity. Objective: Analyze the post-application effects of Covid-19 vaccines in nursing students. Methods: A quantitative and descriptive approach was applied; the population was taken through a random simple non-probabilistic sampling of 270 students of the Nursing Career belonging to the Technical University of Ambato. Results: it was obtained that, among the mild adverse effects, the most frequent was pain at the puncture site with 75.93% and headache with 57.78%, with respect to the serious reaction presented with the highest percentage it was blurred vision with 13.33 %. Conclusions: It is important to know that the presence of any symptom must be treated as soon as possible to avoid infection or contagion by Covid-19
