(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-09-29) Núñez Barona, Joselyne Dayana; Fernández Nieto, Miriam Ivonne
Background: in Ecuador, the Comprehensive Health Care Model (MAIS) promotes providing care based on precise and clear objectives in home visits, it is stipulated that the number of daily visits must be 5 urban and 3 rural, therefore, the The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of home visits in health promotion and prevention to determine the level of learning in the community on topics such as diseases and their prevention. Methods: for this research with a quantitativedescriptive approach, a survey will be applied that includes a questionnaire of 10 questions that will allow us to identify how effective home visits are being. Results: it has been shown that users state that their health has improved thanks to home visits, however, there has also been a lack of education provided by health personnel and a lack of coverage in the population, which affects the objective health promotion and prevention. Conclusions: the Nursing staff faces difficulties in carrying out the home visit, such as the difficult access to different places due to the location of the homes, for this reason we show that the coverage is not the desired one, another difficulty is trying to explain to the users the care they should have with their health so that they can understand and there is no confusion or misunderstanding.

BCG is a biological that is administered within the immunization system of Ecuador, its importance is based on the prevention of severe forms of tuberculosis, knowing about this vaccine will help to increase the number of immunized children and therefore the higher the uptake of BCG, the lower the morbidity rate with this disease, therefore, the objective of the research was to determine the intellect regarding BCG, its generalities, application and importance. The research has a quantitative approach, a descriptive scope and a cross-sectional design, in which a structured survey with a reliability of 0.81% was applied to 60 people, whose choice was intentional non -probabilistic. The results indicate that knowledge about BCG is sa tisfactory 76.7%, that is, mothers are knowledgeable about the subject and can contribute to the prevention of tuberculosis and thus to the reduction of morbidity and mortality due to this disease, 18.3% have a regular knowledge and only 5% have a deficien t knowledge, so it is believed that more information and education on the subject is required.

Introduction: pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation (VAP), is one of the main conditions of intubated patients, in this sense nursing professionals play a fundamental role in its prevention, since they provide direct care to the patient in order to achieve early recovery and avoid complications that lengthen hospital stay or even cause death. Methods: the present research was qualitative with a phenomenological approach, in which 7 nurses from the Intensive Care Unit participated, for the collection of information a semistructured interview was used and the data were analyzed with the Atlas. Ti. Results: the participants recognized its importance in the prevention of VAPM, in terms of care they demonstrated to have a broad knowledge, although not completely, they are also aware of the factors that hinder its prevention and the benefits achieved by preventing pathology. Conclusions: there are several strengths that were identified in nursing professionals, when caring for these patients, however, the most remarkable was being proactive, since, although they have managed to provide good care, although not in its entirety, it has been by their own interest and based on self-education. Likewise, there are several limitations that they face, among which stand out the lack of resources, as well as the lack of knowledge to perform some care, so it is recommended to establish a training plan and protocolized training in the manipulation o f the airway.

Adolescence is a difficult stage of development, both for the adolescent and for those with whom he lives; because they are individuals who are in the transition between childhood and adulthood, who seek identification and want to be part of groups with common interests. In this period they feel rejections that can eventually lead them to adopt habits that endanger their well-being, and even their lives. An observational epidemiological study of a cross-sectional descriptive nature was carried out in which the Depression Inventory and the Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale were applied to 208 university students between 18 and 22 years of age, students in the first and second semester of the Nursing career. in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato, with the purpose of detecting the inclination to risk behaviors to propose interventions that allow reducing the influential factors and preventing them in said population. The results show that although the respondents are highly depressed, they did not show suicidal intentions; which led to propose some actions with the intention of knowing the dangers in time and anticipating future events to avoid them.
