Lingerie has been kept in the concept of being only for a specific use in a special occasion, the idea of the meaning of this word is very short and has not been appreciated in the best way as such, the history of this is very valuable and important in the daily life of women. Remembering that we wear garments that made history keeps us in tune with our past and with the collective memory of a movement of evolution in the history of women in society. It is important to protect the environment from all the evils that human beings have caused without realizing it, one of the biggest pollutants are the textile industries, sadly has been ignored the reuse of raw materials as it has the idea that a remnant or textile waste has no use, but in the right hands becomes something full of innovation and helps with the environmental impact. This project aims to make use of textile scraps that are discarded by fashion houses that are dedicated to making high fashion garments, to make unique pieces of fine lingerie and inspired by the history of this, in addition to providing comfort, flexibility and sensuality of the users who acquire these garments.

The development of the geriatric clothing collection is currently being developed in Ambato, where it was necessary to adapt conventional garments to meet the needs of the elderly or baby boomers, so this integrated project was executed, which includes the proposal of a collection of clothing that meets the aforementioned needs, along with the tastes and preferences of the user. Cloth wool was applied as a base material, with the purpose of sheltering and enhancing the beauty of the geriatric community that begins to experience physical limitations. Through the analysis of bibliographic information it was found that from the age of 45, the human body begins to lose motor skills, and progresses depending on the lifestyle that the patient has had, so that from the age of 75 these difficulties are more evident, especially with clothing, because it is an activity that is carried daily, and protects the body autonomy, hence the need to acquire adaptable clothing that can be used every day, because it extends the independence and allows the user to enjoy privacy for longer. We investigated the types of garments they use daily and what are the difficulties they face, in this area, we developed a design proposal for a collection of geriatric clothing that facilitates self-dressing, which were developed as a tangible product, so it was considered as a reference the traditional consumer profile of users, mixing a little new fashion trends. Therefore, this integrative project consolidates as a guide of knowledge about fashion adapted to be applied later in the production of new garments that promote the importance of enhancing the productive sector of Ambato as a way to contribute to the fulfillment of the development objectives proposed in Ecuador, where the inclusion of the elderly in the various social activities for a positive aging is sought.
