Carrera de Diseño de Modas., 2018-10) Villacrés Altamirano, María Gabriela; Ramírez Bonilla, Nancy RaquelIn this project the "Design of clothing for basketball players with motor disability, in lower extremities" is studied, to achieve this it is necessary to investigate theoretical background on clothing for athletes with motor disabilities, determine the needs of the target and develop a proposal of adaptive clothing to perform field research, the opinion of the basketball players with disabilities of the city of Ambato, coaches, managers and medical personnel was collected, the organization studied was the ASOPLEJICAT Sporting Club, subsidiary of the Sports Federation of Tungurahua, which groups athletes from 13 to Less than 60 years old, it has 3 coaches and approximately 35 athletes. It was determined that almost two-thirds of athletes exceed 40 years of age, in all cases manifest physical disability of the lower limbs, 54.3% of athletes have a 60% disability and followed by 20% have 72%, 40% are unemployed and 8.6% are students, 34.3% assign a level of importance of 5/10, 20% rate the importance of the costumes with 7/10. The shortcomings of the wardrobe according to 20% is not very adaptable; for 11.4%, it has limited resistance. 60% of athletes prefer the size Medium; followed by 31.4% who prefer to wear sports clothes of size Large; 85.7% prefer to wear pants, functionality is essential; because the current garments do not give them that characteristic; 31.4% and inappropriate garments are used for basketball (25.7%) because they are of poor quality, unpleasant to the eye, uncomfortable due to the lack of adjustment devices and the lack of closure accessories, 77.1% of athletes only sometimes find the garments in Ambato and 17.1%, never. However, 42.9% of the population prefers to buy in stores while 22.9% in factories where they make tailor-made or specialized stores (20%). The purchasing factors are functionality (42.9%), type of material (20%), design (20%), price and quality. Sports clothes suffer more wear on knees (37.1%), seatings (20%) and thighs (14.3%); finally, 74.3% practice basketball once or twice a week.Item Diseño de indumentaria adaptada para mujeres de 30 a 65 años con discapacidad física en extremidades inferiores de la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Diseño de Modas., 2017-11) Ardila Ronquillo, Yéssica Leonor; Ramírez Bonilla, Nancy RaquelIn this project we study the "Design of clothing adapted for women aged 30 to 65 years with physical disability in the lower extremities of the city of Ambato", determining the ergonomics of dress of women of this age. It is an exploratory work to recognize the factors responsible for discomfort in the wardrobe. due to the size of the garments, comfort, quality or design, their wardrobe is dysfunctional and difficult to achieve, affecting mainly the lower lumbar part, the front of the knees, and those that have contact with the prostheses, these suffer more wear in the posaderas, thighs and knees, are obligatory effects of this problem, the discomfort, the physical fatigue and the difficulty to mobilize, demonstrating the latent need to have clothes adapted for this social stratum, provided they meet qualities such as the peculiarities of the patients, attending to the comfort and hygiene, garments that could be acquired in stores and specialized stores. That is why starting from the foundations of apparel design, ergonomics and anthropometry as fundamental axes for research, it is intended to cover the demand for clothing, which meets the requirements of the target market. Thanks to an in-depth study of people with physical disabilities in lower limbs, a range of clothing alternatives were achieved to provide comfort and innovation.
