In this way, within the methodological process, the quantitative study has been taken into account using a survey and interviews and the qualitative study through observation, with a sample of 25 journalists (graduates and non-graduates) as well as 9 media executives of Tungurahua whose results allowed to determine the level of production and distribution of Transmedia Narratives in the journalism of the province, as the main objective. The conclusion reached after the analysis and interpretation of results was that the production and distribution of Transmedia Narratives in journalism in Tungurahua is not significant, adding to the fact that there is no interest in interacting with the audience to which, in addition, he is not interested in the publications issued by the media. Likewise, it was determined that there are no journalists specializing in transmedia narratives in the province and, therefore, they are unaware of the form and logic of its construction; concluding, likewise, that the competitive level with other provinces is relatively low, which in practice means that digital journalism is not being exercised to facilitate the distribution and production of Transmedia Narratives; what does not generate reliable or dynamic information. This is despite the fact that there is clear knowledge of the benefits that ICT offers to the field of communication in the treatment of information to the interaction with prosumers.
