Sleep quality is defined as the satisfaction experienced in relation to the duration and depth of sleep achieved during the night. Moreover, aggressive behaviors are actions of a violent nature that lead to harm or damage, both physically and emotionally, to people, directly influencing their well-being and quality of life. In the present study, the objective was to determine the relationship between sleep quality and aggressive behaviors in professional drivers. The sample used was of 121 professional drivers of legal age (18 years and older), members of the Professional Drivers Union of Canton Quero. The research had a nonexperimental quantitative approach, with a cross- sectional, descriptive and correlational scope. To measure the variables under study, two instruments were used: the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), adapted to Spanish by Royuela & Fernandez in 1997 and the Aggressiveness Scale (AQ), adapted by Matalinares et al. in 2012 in Spain. The results showed that there was a low positive correlation between the variables, with good sleep quality (55.4%) and low and very low levels of aggressive behaviors (46.3% and 44.6%, respectively). In addition, no significant differences were found in aggressive behaviors according to gender.
