MSc.Nowadays, classical ballet has become popular in such a way that girls and boys practice it from a very early age, despite the demand of this activity, for this reason the present research aims to compare the biomechanical differences of the lower member among ballet dancers and non-dancers; Within the methodology, a data collection form and two physiotherapy tests were used, such as goniometry to assess joint mobility and dynamometry to measure the strength of the muscle groups, which were applied to the joints that make up the lower limb. This study belongs to the line of investigation of Epidemiology and Public Health. This research has as scientific importance is to determine if the constant practice of classical ballet can cause biomechanical alterations in terms of joint mobility and long-term muscle strength in dancers. Furthermore, the information that is collected constitutes a basis for future research, since there are not many studies on this subject. The novelty of this project is based on the little or no knowledge on the part of the dancers and instructors about the effects produced in the biomechanics of the lower limb by the activity they practice; This study seeks that the ballet schools of the city of Ambato can define a better training strategy for all their students and thus avoid the number of injuries to which they are exposed daily.
