COMPARACIÓN DE LA PRUEBA DE LA Y INSTRUMENTADA Y NO INSTRUMENTADA PARA LA ESTABILIDAD DE MIEMBRO SUPERIOR EN POBLACIÓN SANA

The present research project was carried out with the purpose of comparing the instrumented and non-instrumented Y test for upper limb stability in a healthy population. The methodology of the study was of non-experimental design, cross-sectional and quantitative approach, using the instrumented and non-instrumented YBT-UQ test. The non-instrumented test was administered in two weight versions: light and heavy. This evaluation was applied to 100 healthy people from La Matriz parish in Pelileo canton. Among the results obtained, it was found that the non-instrumented test (heavy and light) presented statistically significant values with the instrumented test (p = .000). In addition, a better score was obtained in the heavy non-instrumented YBT-UQ test compared to the light and instrumented tests. The male gender presented better reach scores in all three tests, however, both genders faced difficulties in the inferolateral direction. In conclusion, the non-instrumented YBT-UQ test, both heavy and light, are related to the instrumented YBT-UQ test.
