    “Estrategias de intervención de enfermería para el manejo de pacientes con intoxicación por alcohol metílico que llega al servicio de emergencia del hospital general Latacunga”

    This research deals with the strategies used by nursing professionals for the care of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol during their daily practice in the emergency service of the General Hospital Latacunga. The aim of this study was to analyze the application of PAE as an intervention strategy for the management of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol, in order to know if nursing professionals use this strategy as a scientific method, which allows them to validate the care provided. An investigation was carried out with a quantitative, descriptive and field approach, which allowed to describe and analyze the obtained data. The sample consisted of 33 nursing professionals from the General Hospital Latacunga. To obtain the data, a survey was applied with 28 items with five response options, according to the Lickert scale. For the reliability of the instrument, a pilot test was applied applying Crombach's alpha of 0.79, which resulted in a favorable result for the application of the surveys. The results are shown in statistical tables where it was evidenced that most of the nursing professionals apply the PAE as a nursing intervention strategy for the care of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol. It was concluded that the nursing professionals use the PAE and Valuation model of Virginia Henderson for the care of the patients, in the same way they identify diagnoses of risk, potentials, promotion and syndrome; executing the planned actions, with the aim of promoting the independence, rehabilitation and recovery of the health of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol.
