This study aimed to determine the prevalence of patellar tendonitis in people who practice crossfit, the average number of hours in crossfit practice and to describe gender, age and body mass index in relation to patellar tendinitis. It is a research of descriptive type with a qualitative-quantitative approach, data collection was done by means of an observation sheet to 56 people who practice crossfit in a gym of practice of crossfit of the city of Ambato, the diagnosis of patellar tendinitis was realized With the Sign of Basset, these data were analyzed statistically by the SPSS program and the prevalence was determined by the statistical formula of point prevalence. In the present study the prevalence of patellar tendinitis in people who practice crossfit was 21.42% for every 56 people. There was no statistically significant relationship between gender, age and BMI and the sign of Basset.
