Objective: To systematize the role of nursing in managing labor pain and its impact during and after childbirth. Methodology: A systematic search was conducted in electronic databases such as PubMed, Scielo, and Google Scholar, following the PRISMA guidelines. Observational studies published between 2019 and 2024 that explored the role of nursing in pain management during labor and its impact were included. Results: The nursing role in pain management is distinguished by three main areas: education, the application of pharmacological methods, and non-pharmacological pain management. Conclusion: The nursing role in pain management during labor and the postpartum period is of great importance, serving as an emotional and physical support base for the pregnant woman through prenatal education and nonpharmacological pain management methods.
