Mg.The investigation of this case is carried out since the first cause of Infant Mortality is: Disorders related to short duration of gestation and with low birth weight, not classified elsewhere; And the Kwashiorkor disorder is within this first level. (INEC 2013) In this paper we present the case of a pediatric patient, male, 1 year old, 7 months old, Christian, mestizo, resident in Ambato, regular socioeconomic condition. Who has had Kwashiorkor disease for about 1 month. This disease began with postprandial vomiting, which is associated with skin lesions as an allergic process, presenting 7 days later edema in the lower limbs without fovea that only appeared at night, after 48 hours later it has diarrhea Liquid, yellowish and odorless. Throughout the investigation it was possible to show several risk factors that presents as is the environment, intra-family relationships and energetically the inadequate way of managing the preschool child. Most of the data presented in this study were obtained through an interview with the patient's mother and through the Clinical History, through the different actions such as the creation of the guide for the care of the patients. Patients who have developed this pathology; It will be possible to contribute to the maintenance of a balanced lifestyle by applying the different actions proposed throughout the guide.
