Burnout syndrome is defined as a response to chronic work stress, and is made up of negative feelings and attitudes towards themselves and others within a work space. On the other hand, lifestyles are habits that a person adopts in order to promote their health within a mental, physical and emotional balance. The research aimed to determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and lifestyles in university employees; through a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach, descriptive - correlational and cross-sectional scope, the sample consisted of 100 participants (37 men and 63 women) selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling, the MBI Maslach Human Services Survey Burnout Syndrome Questionnaire (MBIHSS) and the PEPS-I Lifestyle Profile Questionnaire were applied. Regarding the results, low levels predominated in the levels of the burnout dimensions. It was found that the lifestyles of university employees are adequate and, in turn, there are no significant differences according to sex. Finally, regarding the relationship between these two variables, it is evident that there are significant differences between the personal achievement dimension and lifestyles. The relationship between the personal achievement dimension and lifestyles was positive, low and statistically significant. This relationship underlines the importance of personal satisfaction as a factor that can contribute positively to the general well-being of the individual.
