MgThis research work has as main objective to determine the correlation between family functioning and resilience factors in the aforementioned population, and what is sought is to investigate the incidence of the types of family functioning; functionality, moderate dysfunction, and severe with individual resilience factors such as dysfunctional; esteem, humor, creativity, self-concept, also sought to have a clear idea of the prevalence of family functionality and gender, for purposes of the investigation was considered appropriate to carry out the evaluation of 60 children who was administered the questionnaire Family APGAR to measure the level of functionality and inventory of personal resilience factors. After analyzing the results through statistical program SPSS.20 hypotheses was verified through chi-square and it was determined that family functioning is related positively with the factors of resilience in general and in each of the factors as lower values were obtained to 0.050. In addition, a 81.67 % of the total population has perceived his family as functional in terms of personal resilience factors, 33.33 % was obtained at high levels, the 51.66 % predominates in the middle level, and 15.00 % in low levels of resilience.
