Item “Niveles séricos de autoanticuerpos contra enfermedades gastrointestinales (gliadina deamidata, tgt, manano, acp, fi) en sujetos pediátricos con los trastornos del espectro autista”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2018-05-01) Tates Morillo, Amanda Maribel; Yauli Flores, Carlos Fernando Med.The aim of the present study was to determine the serum levels of autoantibodies against gastrointestinal diseases against gliadin deamidata (DGP), tissue transglutaminase (TGt), mannan (ASCA), parietal cell antigen (ACP) and intrinsic factor (FI) in subjects with ASD. The sample size was 45 pediatric subjects (30 subjects with ASD and 15 subjects with typical development (DT) as controls), who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The methods used for the collection of data were through a well-defined clinical history based on the determination of gastrointestinal symptoms. The determination of the antibodies was carried out by means of the indirect enzymatic immunoassay method that qualitatively determines IgG / IgA class antibodies in serum. It was obtained 9/30 (30.0%) GDP, 14/30 (46.7%) TGt, 9/30 (30.0%) Manano, 2/30 (6.7%) ACP and positive IF, while that all controls were negative for each of the antibodies analyzed. Twenty of the 30 children with ASD had diarrhea, 13/30 constipation, 18/30 hard or lumpy stools. It is concluded that a higher production of antibodies related to gastrointestinal diseases in pediatric subjects with ASD is not related to the serological markers of the altered intestinal barrier, which is compatible with many international studies
