Esp.Stress is a physiological reaction of the organism, when we are subjected to a threat or a demand that we find difficult to assume, thus producing a reaction that helps us overcome it. Teenagers, like adults, can experience stress of any kind every day. Under this argument, the present investigation was carried out with the objective of identifying what were the factors that trigger stress in adolescents between 13 and 19 years of the Educational Unit “Luis A. Martínez.” It was necessary to conduct a literature review about the different stressors typical of the adolescent: development of new cognitive skills, changes in independence and dependence on the relationship with parents, cultural and social expectations, bullying between partners, poor marital harmony between parents, divorce and the economic situation, which are included in physical, psychological and social influences they exert on adolescents at this stage of development. After the investigation, the data were tabulated and analyzed, which allowed us to reach the respective conclusions. In addition, it is important to emphasize in this research that, in order to overcome stress, it is recommended to inform us of the consequences that the experience of this complicated situation may have, to know the symptoms that may appear and to develop emotions management skills to overcome them successfully, in order to maintain a good quality of life. Cli. Mg.The main objective of this research project is to determine the relationship between the levels of family satisfaction and anxiety in adolescents and as specific objectives: to define levels of family satisfaction, to identify levels of anxiety and to differentiate family satisfaction according to sociodemographic variables. The present study is a quantitative approach, correlational and cross-sectional type, two psychological assessment instruments were applied to 71 adolescents from an educational institution in the canton of Latacunga; the instruments used were the family satisfaction scale and the state-trait anxiety questionnaire, in the same way a sociodemographic record was administered for the fulfillment of one of the objectives and to apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria. As results, it was obtained that the majority of the adolescents evaluated presented a high family satisfaction (54.9%), moderate state anxiety levels (49.3%) and moderate trait anxiety levels (50.7%); It was found that adolescents who reported having a better relationship with their mother had higher levels of family satisfaction than those who reported having a better relationship with their father or another member outside the nuclear family, as well as adolescents who reported consuming tobacco. at 4 times a month they had lower levels of family satisfaction than those who reported never consuming or who did one or fewer times a month. Through the application of Spearman's Rho statistical test, it was determined that family satisfaction presents a moderate negative correlation with state-trait anxiety. It is necessary to understand in greater depth the relationship described above, so it is advisable in the future to carry out explanatory studies that allow an understanding of the effect of one variable on the other.Item “La funcionalidad familiar y su relación con la intencionalidad suicida”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2019-08-01) Escobar Valencia, Francisco Xavier; Gaibor González, Ismael Álvaro Psi. Cl. Mg.The present investigation was based on the study of Parental Relations and its relation with Suicide Risk in teens of an Educational Institute in the city of Ambato located in the province of Tungurahua. The sample was taken from 140 teens between the ages of 14 and 17 years who were evaluated by psychological reagents. The "Plutchik Suicide Risk Scale" was used first, which evaluated the suicide risk, and later the "Parental Styles Questionnaire of Baumrind" which evaluated parental relationships. It is worth mention that the authoritative style was reflected in the majority of teens, which states that parents intend to manage their children's actions and behaviors in a rational manner offering them security in assuming their obligations. Finally, it was demonstrated that teens did not present suicidal risk. This indicated that the subjects present adequate and consolidated relationships that allow them to have a better emotional maturity. Some teens presented the possibility of suicidal risk, since they did not develop optimum parenting relationships, showing negligent style in them.
