Item EFECTOS DEL EJERCICIO INTRADIALÍTICO SOBRE LA FUERZA MUSCULAR Y CAPACIDAD FÍSICA EN PACIENTES CON ENFERMEDAD RENAL CRÓNICA QUE RECIBEN HEMODIÁLISIS(2025-06-16) Armas Ingavélez, Melanie Samantha; Morales Solis, Jorge Marcelo; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de MedicinaIntroduction: patients with advanced stages of chronic kidney disease present a hypercatabolic state characterized by loss of body proteins, which has a negative impact on physical capacity and muscle strength, particularly in patients undergoing hemodialysis, leading to reduced quality of life and increased mortality. Exercise has been shown to improve muscle function in this population but remains underutilized due to safety concerns and lack of evidence. Methodology: we conducted a descriptive systematic review of cohort studies and randomized clinical trials published in the last 5 years in English or Spanish whose main intervention is intradialytic physical exercise was conducted. Results: thirteen studies were analyzed that described an improvement in physical and functional capacity of patients who were included in the intradialytic exercise groups, although changes regarding body composition were not significant. Conclusions: the implementation of structured and supervised exercise programs during hemodialysis can mitigate the adverse effects of prolonged inactivity, improve physical function, and ultimately improve the quality of life of CKD patients.Item Musicoterapia y ansiedad en pacientes en hemodiálisis.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Centro de Posgrados, 2023-11-01) Avilés Peña, Daniel Armando Psicól; Vásquez de la Bandera Cabezas, Fabricio MScItem Calidad de vida de pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica sometidos a hemodiálisis(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-07) Escobar Morocho, Dayana Lisbeth; Ramírez López, Diego IvánIntroduction: Chronic kidney disease is a progressive pathology that compromises the quality of life of patients both physically and mentally, for them it is essential to use self-care methods and unconditional support from nursing staff. Methods: Correlational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach in the period September 2021 - February 2022. Population of 71 patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis at Hospital General Ambato (IESS). An SF-12 Health questionnaire was used to assess the state of physical and mental health, in addition, it presents satisfaction scores between 0 to 100 that determine the quality of life. Results: The analysis of the SF-12 questionnaire applied to patients with chronic kidney disease, it was obtained that 50% of the patients have a problem in the state of health, because there were factors with a greater problem in physical function (role physical, bodily pain) and mental function (psychological health, social function). Conclusion: Physical health and mental health show that a large part of the population under study with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis do not enjoy an adequate quality of life. Mg.The present research refers to the perception of patients with chronic renal failure about the care provided by the nursing staff of the Dialvida Ambato Hemodialysis center. The objective was to describe the perception of patients with chronic renal failure regarding the care provided by the nursing staff of the Dialvida Ambato Hemodialysis Center. For this, a qualitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, field and prospective study was carried out to find out the ideas, thoughts and opinions of patients with chronic renal failure who undergo hemodialysis on nursing care. Due to its effect, the study technique that was carried out was the semi-structured interview with a total of 14 patients, fulfilling the information saturation criterion. The results in the following research were phenomenological, conceptual and descriptive of the perception of nursing care, humanized care and the influence of the disease process in daily life. The conclusions that were obtained from the research were positive and of satisfaction regarding nursing care and humanized care, but negative responses were found such as lack of acceptance and adaptation to their change in the patients' lifestyle. Finally, it is recommended that the care already established by the nursing staff continue to be applied and the humanized care should continue and be reinforced among the patients and the multidisciplinary team, it should also inquire about the influence on the quality of life in relation to the treatment and diagnosis.
