Item COMPARACIÓN DE LA PRUEBA DE LA Y INSTRUMENTADA Y NO INSTRUMENTADA PARA LA ESTABILIDAD DE MIEMBRO SUPERIOR EN POBLACIÓN SANA(2025-02-26) Carrasco Perrazo, Paola Betsabe; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de FisioterapiaThe present research project was carried out with the purpose of comparing the instrumented and non-instrumented Y test for upper limb stability in a healthy population. The methodology of the study was of non-experimental design, cross-sectional and quantitative approach, using the instrumented and non-instrumented YBT-UQ test. The non-instrumented test was administered in two weight versions: light and heavy. This evaluation was applied to 100 healthy people from La Matriz parish in Pelileo canton. Among the results obtained, it was found that the non-instrumented test (heavy and light) presented statistically significant values with the instrumented test (p = .000). In addition, a better score was obtained in the heavy non-instrumented YBT-UQ test compared to the light and instrumented tests. The male gender presented better reach scores in all three tests, however, both genders faced difficulties in the inferolateral direction. In conclusion, the non-instrumented YBT-UQ test, both heavy and light, are related to the instrumented YBT-UQ test.Item LUDOTERAPIA PARA MEJORAR LA FUERZA MUSCULAR DEL MIEMBRO SUPERIOR EN ADULTOS MAYORES(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-08-28) Machado Reinoso, Valeria Anabel; Cedeño Zamora, María NarcizaThe present research work consists of the description and analysis of the applica ti o n of play therapy in the muscular strength of the upper limb in older adults, develop e d in the gerontological center of the canton Tisaleo with a population of 25 particip a n ts of both sexes. The following research project was to analyze if the ludic activities are efficient in the improvem ent of the muscular strength of the upper limb in older adults, which was developed twice a week for 7 weeks with a duration of 50 minutes per session in th e gerontological center of the Tisaleo Canton. The research was developed with a non-experimental study of longuitudinal type because the initial and final values of the treatment plan were collected, which includ es a population of both sexes with age > 65 years, in the evaluation the dynamometer was used to evaluate the muscular strength of the upper limb, the Barthel index to identif y the independence and thus facilitate the development of the recreational activities, with a quantitative approach recording the values in Excel and obtaining the results by means of the SPPS program. The results of muscle strength in the upper limb were significant in older adults of both sexes, having a higher population in the age of 80-85 years in the male sex with an initial value in the right hand of 20.4kg to 22.5 kg, in the left hand with 19.0 kg to 20.4kg and in women in the ages of 75-79 years with a value of 18.7kg to 20.6 kg in the right hand and in the left hand with 16.3kg to 18.9kgItem Relación de fuerza muscular con la prueba de estabilidad en cadena cinética cerrada(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2023-03-01) Lascano Garcés, Ronald Alexander; Cantuña Vallejo, Paúl Fernando Doc. Esp.The general objective was to determine muscle strength and stability in closed kinetic chain in upper limb in athletes. It was descriptive, using existing and valid tests to relate muscle strength with upper limb stability, with a quantitative approach and a longitudinal design. Athletes who use the upper limb and train with overhead movements were analyzed; evaluations such as the CKCUEST test, medicine ball throwing, strength tests for the upper limb and strength tests for central stability were applied. The population constituted a sample of 59 athletes between 15 and 42 years of age, WITH an average of 25.76. The results showed that core muscular strength is related to shoulder stability in front plank and right and left lateral plank with a significance of P=0.003. In conclusion, upper limb muscle strength is not statistically significant with upper limb stability with a significance of P=,.343, on the other hand core stability does present a statistically significant relationship, which was demonstrated in the research, which indicated that to avoid risk of injury at the upper limb level in athletes Core strength is important
