(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2021-11-01) Miniguano Barrionuevo, Gabriela Stephany; Garófalo Espinel, Ana Cristina Dra.
The purpose of this clinical case analysis is to determine the influence of early stimulation through the application of the sensory integration method in the psychomotor development of a patient who has quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy, being a qualitative investigation, the characteristics of the neuromuscular disorder and its complications. Quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy is considered a group of postural tone and movement disorders, in which the pyramidal pathway is affected, it is characterized by stiffness in the muscles of the upper and lower limbs, causing limitations in movement and in skill development. The diagnosis of this case is in a patient of 1 year 9 months of age female, with affectation in the psychomotor development, the Haizea Llevant test was applied, obtaining as a result a deficit in the areas of socialization, language and mathematical logic, manipulation and in the posture, therefore, the need to investigate a method within the early stimulation that allows you to work all the affected areas is determined. An intervention plan is described, focused on the work of the exteroceptive and interoceptive sensory systems, to decrease muscle tone, improve posture, coordination and cognitive functions in an integrative way.
