Item EFECTOS DE LA SUPLEMENTACIÓN DE CREATINA EN EL RENDIMIENTO FÍSICO Y TERAPÉUTICO DE PATOLOGÍAS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Medicina, 2024-09-25) Pacheco Hurtado, Saul Patricio; Tufiño Aguilar, Andrea AlexandraCreatine is a nitrogenous compound that is found naturally in the body, especially in the muscles and brain, its supplementation has shown positive effects in different populations and for various physiological and pathological conditions. The objectiveof the present study is to address the benefits of supplementation of this compound at different stages of life, as well as in certain degenerative pathologies, for which a bibliography search of articles and meta-analyses published in English during the last years was carried out. In the last 5 years, in different scientific search engines, it wasconcluded that creatine is a safe and economical supplement that, in certain groups such as pregnant women and older adults and clinical situations such as neural degeneration, can provide benefits in terms of health, body composition and capacity physical.Item EVALUACIÓN DE LAS CAPACIDADES FÍSICAS MEDIANTE TEST DE VALORACIÓN DE LA CONDICIÓN FÍSICA EN MILITARES(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-08-27) Toapanta Vinocunga, Geidy Mabel; Espín Pastor, Victoria EstefaníaPhysical capacities in military personnel are assessed in a regulatory manner in which strength and endurance are subjectively assessed. However, the total parameters of physical capacities are not covered because flexibility and speed, which can be determining factors in physical and work performance, are not assessed. Therefore, the aim of this research project was to determine physical capacities by means of physica l fitness assessment tests in the military. A physical fitness assessment test was applied to examine the strength, endurance, flexibility and speed of 80 military personnel aged between 20 and 50 years at the Patria Military Fort. This research is of a correlatio n a l type with a quantitative approach and a transversal non-experimental design, the correlations carried out were by means of Spearman's statistical test. Among the results obtained, it was determined that the physical fitness of the military personnel is at a good level due to the fact that it ranges from moderate to high. However, there is no direct relationship between the years of military service and physical abilities, i.e., the years of training in this population do not intervene in the performance of physica l tests. Therefore, it can be concluded that a low relationship between jogging and endurance is evident, because jogging is used as an exercise to improve endurance. In addition, abdominal strength plays an important role in push-ups.Item Ingesta alimentaria en relación a la composición corporal en jugadores de básquet de la categoría intermedia y superior(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Nutrición y Dietética, 2024-05-01) Zurita Montes de Oca, Gilson Alexander; Galarza Esparza, William Bayardo ND, Mg.The purpose of this project was to analyze dietary intake and body composition with the influence of physical performance in adolescents who play basketball and train to become professionals in a high-performance club in Ambato. The study was descriptive, cross-sectional. We worked with a sample of 25 adolescent athletes between 12 and 17 years old: 18 women and 7 men. Food intake was evaluated through a consumption frequency survey, body composition through a bioimpedance technological tool, and physical performance through a Cooper Test physical test. The results were obtained through the Pearson Chi square statistical test for the crossing of variables, where it was demonstrated that according to all the indicators there is no significant relationship between food intake and body composition in athletes. However, there was a relationship (p<0.05) between other factors that are important in the athlete, such as physical performance with body composition and nutritional status with physical performance and energy that encompasses the athlete's total calories. It can be concluded that the imbalance of macro and micronutrients influences the physical performance of the athlete, especially in the female sex, since in adolescence she undergoes many physical, hormonal, psychological, and social changes that generate dietary alterations. It is recommended to evaluate food intake through a dietary reminder for a maximum of 3 days to have more accurate calculationsItem Efectos de un plan de pausas activas por modalidad virtual para mejorar el rendimiento físico de escolares(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Fisioterapía, 2022-03-01) Ormaza Cepeda, Diego Alejandro; Moscoso Córdova Lic. Mg., Grace VerónicaThe present research project had the unknown of determining the effects of a plan of active breaks through virtual modality in schoolchildren of the Ricardo Descalzi Educational Unit. A first socialization of the project was carried out with the representatives of the schoolchildren and with a total of 16 participants between the ages of 5 to 8 years, of which 6 were male and 10 females. With the application of the two tests (C-MAFYCS and PAQ-C), which with good validity allow us to know the physical state and sedentary habits that the participant presents in the course of a week. This plan of active breaks was applied for a month, consisting of 5 sessions per week, each one varying from 5 to 12 minutes of application, where stretching, moderate and vigorous physical activities, coordinated bilateral activities, fine motor activities and thick. The research presents a qualitative-quantitative descriptive approach, due to the methodology used in data collection and its analysis, with a longitudinal prospective design, due to the application of second evaluations in order to determine the effects of the active break plan in schoolchildren Basic Elementary. xiii The effects found in this study regarding the active break plan are related to physical performance; the schoolchildren showed an increase of 18.75% in their level of physical activity, predominantly in female participants with an average of between 5 to 8 years old; Another effect is the improvement in sedentary behavior, with a reduction in their sedentary behaviors, obtaining 43.75% of the population with moderate sedentary habits, and with a 25% improvement in their body mass index, reducing harmful weights. A positive effect of the active break plan applied on schoolchildren with low physical performance was verified, where an increase in their level of physical activity was obtained, generating a balance in the body mass indexes and moderating the sedentary behaviors that the participants presented
