    “Satisfacción sexual y dependencia emocional”

    The objective of this research study is to stablish the relation between sexual satisfaction and emotional dependence in students of the Clinical Psychology Degree, Health Sciences Department of the Technical University of Ambato. Sexual satisfaction is understood as the well-being between two people, the same one has a physical element and another affective element, in this way an analysis of the pleasure received through sexual and affective relationships; the sexual satisfaction assessment was carried out through the NSSS New Sexual Satisfaction Scale, wich evaluates five dimensions establishing the level of sexual satisfaction in the students surveyed. Emotional dependence has been approached with several concepts, but the main one determinate it as an extremely affective need towards the couple, to evaluate it the Emotional Dependency Questionnaire was used, wich allows us to know the predominant factors in emotional dependence. The present investigation was applied to 189 university students of a population of 373 of the Clinical Psychology Degree of the Technical University of Ambato, age between 18 and 40 years. The results obtained demonstrated the Independence of the variables.

    “Creencias irracionales y dependencia emocional”

    The objective of the present investigation is to determine the relationship between irrational beliefs and emotional dependence on students of the leveling courses of the medical career of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato. It was worked with 120 students of which 72 are women and 48 men in ages between 18 and 21 years who were evaluated by the application of two psychological reagents. First, Irrational Belief Test of Albert Ellis, was used, which evaluated the 10 principal irrational beliefs. Later, the Emotional Dependency Questionnaire of Lemos and Londoño was applied, which evaluated the level of emotional dependence in the students: absence, mild, moderate and severe. After the evaluation, the data were processed using the SPSS statistical program through the Chi square test (X2) determined that irrational beliefs are related to emotional dependence; Being the beliefs of anxiety, perfection and punishment those that have more relation with the slight emotional dependence.

    Self-esteem is established as the functionality of one's mind in search of happiness, with proper decision-making capacity. Branden consents to live way to be connected with our actions, motivations, purposes and values, thus having the manifestation of self-assertion. For the subject the existence of a unique pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors, determined by heredity and environment, relatively stable and durable that differentiate each individual from others and which can predict their behavior in certain situations, certain described as personality and mental health factors preventing events that may generate significant deterioration in the performance of the subject. The focus of this study is quantitative and qualitative, in the first instance of bibliographic documentary form and secondly field research in order to establish the relationship between the variables in studies
