(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2019-01-01) Quinatoa Casa, José Danilo; Lara Salazar Psc. Inf. Mg, Cristina Mariela
The objective of this research work is to determine the influence of mood states on sports performance in professional soccer players of the University Technical Sports Club, of Ambato city in Tungurahua province. For the application of the psychological reagents, there is a sample composed of 41 titular and reserve professional players, all males whose ages were between 18 and 41 years respectively. The variable mood states was measured by the Scale of the Mood States (POMS) of Balaguer, Fuentes, Meliá, Garcia-Merita, & Pérez, (1993), while the sport performance variable was evaluated with the Psychological Inventory of Execution Deportiva (IPED) by Hernández-Mendo (2007). In terms of statistical analysis, the Pearson correlation is used, which demonstrates that moods do not influence sports performance, but some of the mood factors correlate superficially with performance.
