Item Plan terapéutico de fuerza muscular en miembros inferiores con musicoterapia en pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2(2025-03-11) Balladares López, Mishell Monserrat; Reales Chacón, Lisbeth Josefina; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Centro de PosgradosDiabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) is classified as a chronic condition characterized by pathophysiological mechanisms such as insulin resistance and progressive dysfunction of beta cells, leading to inefficient glucose absorption at the musculoskeletal level. This results in alterations in muscle fibers, pain, and weakness. In the lower limbs, there is evidence of a higher prevalence of problems related to locomotion, independence, and functionality in individuals suffering from this condition. Strength exercises combined with music therapy have been shown to improve the characteristics of muscle fibers, enhance internal cellular signaling through specific muscle contractions, and promote adherence to exercise protocols. The purpose of this article was to apply a therapeutic plan focused on muscular strength in the lower limbs combined with music therapy in patients with DM2. The methodology was developed using a quantitative, analytical, prospective, and longitudinal approach with an applicative and intervention-level framework. A sample of 30 individuals from the Centro Recreacional del Adulto Mayor del GAD de Atahualpa was divided into two groups: experimental and control. The sampling design was non-probabilistic and based on convenience. Data collection involved a demographic card, dynamometry tests for lower limbs, the Chair Stand Test, and the Height and Weight items from the Senior Fitness Test battery. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software and Student's t-test. The primary findings indicated that at the level of ankle dorsiflexors (mean difference: 7.333) and hip abductors (mean difference: 4.667), the experimental group demonstrated significant improvements compared to the control group, which showed negative results. These findings affirm that strength exercises targeting the lower limbs, combined with music therapy, effectively benefit patients diagnosed with DM2.Item “Ejecución del chute de balón y su relación con los desbalances musculares del tren inferior, en mujeres futbolistas amateur de la ciudad de Ambato.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2019-09-01) Ponce Salazar, Lissette Carolina; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía Lcda. Mg.Currently, women’s football has been widely disseminated, since in Ecuador it recently opened the first women's professional league. For this reason, most athletes practice it for love and their personal merits, since they do not have consecutive training they are the most prone to different injuries. For this reason, the present investigation aims to establish the relationship that exists between the execution of the ball kick and the muscular imbalances of the lower train, in female amateur soccer players in the city of Ambato. This investigation was carried out in a synthetic stage, making them execute 18 athletes, the ball kick recorded by means of consecutive photographs, then by means of the dynamometry physiotherapeutic test the strength of the extensor and flexor muscles of the knee was measured bilaterally and finally they were given a questionnaire related to training and previous injuries during the practice of said sport. This study belongs to the research line of Epidemiology and Public Health. It was concluded that the muscular imbalance with extensor predominance (quadriceps) is related to the contact phase (inner edge) to execute the chute, since they do not have greater strength in the hamstrings to perform a more powerful kick, there is also a high relationship, of muscle imbalance between knee flexors and extensors directly related to the appearance of injuries and finally it can be mentioned that the injuries are directly related to the training that the amateur soccer players have had or have.
