Item “La estimulación temprana y el desarrollo de las habilidades motoras en un paciente con encefalopatía hipóxico isquémica”(Estimulación Temprana, 2018-10-01) Chiliquinga Eugenio, Jessica Elizabeth.; Raza Suarez, María Cristina, Mg.Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy is an infrequent problem that can occur in newborns who have suffered asphyxia, hypoxia or ischemia during the perinatal period, according to the OMS is one of the leading causes of death in the world considering the population at risk Term and term newborns, if these neonates survive, have long-term consequences such as cerebral palsy. In the development of this work is detailed the case of a 7-month-old boy who comes to consultation for deviation of the look of the left eye so he was taken by his mother to the Centro de Salud Quero Tipo C, where during his stay I present clonic movements of the tongue and rigidity of the extremities reason why they decide to perform impregnation with phenytoin and admission to hospitalization. The realization of an alternative treatment plan based on Early Stimulation, for a patient with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy is of great importance since this way it will be possible to improve the quality of life of the patient and thus reduce the long-term consequences.Item “La estimulación multisensorial en una niña de 4 años con tetraplejia espástica diagnosticada con encefalopatía necrotizante aguda”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2018-04-01) Cárdenas Manobanda, Diana Carolina; Fernández Soto, Gerardo Fernando Dr. Mg.Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy (ANE) is a swiftly progressive disease that occurs in normal children; associated with common viral infections such as “influenza” and “parainfluenza”, it is also mentioned that its appearance increases when there is a mutation of the Ran Binding Protein 2 gene, which is responsible of normalizing the energy and preserve the blood-brain barrier in nerve cells. It begins as a normal infection that includes common symptoms, later it becomes complicated because of the presence of convulsions and abnormalities in muscle tone, even the patient comes to fall into a coma causing injuries at the Central Nervous System. In the development of this work, the case of a 4-year-old girl is detailed, after the flu vaccine is placed, she presents initial symptoms of fever and vomiting; she went to health personnel, at night her case worsens presenting seizures clonic tonic plus decreased state of consciousness; in another health institution they report signs of probable Acute Viral Encephalitis Bilateral Mastoiditis; However, the analysis of symptoms and signs continues with the diagnosis of Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy (G31.8) resulting in spastic tetraplegia. The distinction of a guide of multisensory stimulation is important for a patient who presents spastic tetraplegia, is a set of techniques applied opportunely for therapeutic purposes that help to form neuronal connections, to awake the senses, understand the body schema, interact with the environment; that is recover lost functions that help improve the quality of life of the patient as well is possible.Item “La estimulación multisensorial en una niña de 4 años con tetraplejia espástica diagnosticada con encefalopatía necrotizante aguda”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2018-04-01) Cárdenas Manobanda, Diana Carolina; Fernández Soto, Gerardo Fernando Dr. It starts in the majority during the 1st year of life, with an incidence between 3 and 12 months old. The objective of this research is to describe the clinical presentation and the flaws in the health system that impede the timely treatment of these patients, this case is a male patient infant under 6 months of age, presents sudden movements of upper limbs and chest flexed forward, squinting up, followed by loud crying until sleep of 10 minutes, by several times a day, go to the health center where they are slow to make reference, go to HPDA emergency where it is not treated and finally go to the outpatient clinic where it is valued and your income is decided. He is hospitalized, seeing the seriousness of the symptoms you decide to start treatment with Valproic Acid at a dose of 15 mg / kg / dose. TAC then performed additional tests: frontal cortical atrophy; EEG slowing and disorganization of brain electrical activity (hypsarrhythmia) determining a diagnosis of West syndrome
