Mst.The present research determined the relationship between anxiety and cell phone dependence in high school adolescents, constructs measured by the Hamilton Anxiety Scale and the Mobile Phone Dependence Test (TDM) in a sample of 104 high school students, with an age range of 15 to 18 years, were selected by exclusion and inclusion criteria. The results determined that most of the adolescents presented a mild level of anxiety, followed by a high level, and statistically significant differences were found between the anxiety levels of males and females. The majority of students presented a moderate level of dependence on the cell phone, followed by a high level. For the verification of the research hypothesis, Spearman's nonparametric statistic was used since the anxiety variable did not meet the assumption of normality. After data analysis, a proportional and statistically significant relationship was found between the study variables.Item Funcionalidad familiar y su relación con el bienestar subjetivo en estudiantes de bachillerato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-03-01) Lara Moran, Lady Zulay; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael Álvaro Ps. Cl. Mst.The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between family functionality (FF) and subjective well-being (SWB) in high school students; a sample of 121 students from an educational unit in the city of Pelileo-Ecuador between 14 and 19 years of age with an average of 15.5 years, 41.3% of whom were male and 58.7% female. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational study was carried out. As a result, a positive correlation was found between family functionality and subjective wellbeing, with a predominance of moderately functional families and average subjective well-being in the sample. In conclusion, one of the determinants in the adequate development of subjective well-being is the family, since if adolescents are in a dysfunctional family this will be reflected in a low level of SWB.Item Dependencia del celular y su relación con las habilidades sociales en adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2022-09-01) Balarezo Morales, Viviana Liseth; Rodríguez Pérez, Mayra Lucía, Ps. Cl. Mg.The main objective of this research was to identify the relationship between cell phone dependence and social skills in adolescents, variables measured by means of the TDM cell phone dependence test and the Goldstein social skills scale, in a population of 100 adolescents, 52 males and 48 females, belonging to the second and third year of high school at the Salcedo Educational Unit, who were selected under inclusion and exclusion criteria. The level of cell phone dependence was analyzed, where a predominance of the moderate level was found with 45%, likewise, it was established that the normal level of social skills in Group I (40%), Group II (41%), Group III (34%), Group IV (41%), Group V (36%) and Group VI (50%), prevails in the evaluated population. Likewise, by comparing the average ranges, it was shown that the male gender RM=53.51 presents greater dependence on cell phones than the female gender RM= 47.24; however, no statistically significant differences were found. Pearson's correlation test was applied, identifying that there is no statistically significant correlation (r=-0.075 p>0.05) between cell phone dependence and social skills.
