    “Inteligencia emocional y habilidades sociales en personas privadas de la libertad del centro de rehabilitación social Ambato”

    The present investigation was carried out with the objective of establishing the relationship between Emotional intelligence and social skills in private people of the freedom of the Ambato Social Rehabilitation Centerin the province of Tungurahua. It consisted of 100 people deprived of liberty, distributed in 50 women and 50 men. The reagents applied were the Bar-On I-CE Automated Emotional Inventory and the Social Skills Assessment Checklist (Goldstein et al., 1980). It was concluded that there is no relationship between the variables Emotional Intelligence and Social Skills. It was detected that the level of Emotional Intelligence that predominates in people deprived of liberty is the average level in all its components with 43%, followed by the low level with 41%, a very low level with 13%, and finally 3% with a high level. The Social Skills Checklist of Goldstein found that the level of Social Skills that predominates in people deprived of liberty is the average level in all its scales with 50%, followed by the high level with 47% and finally a low level with 3%.

    “Rasgos de personalidad en tribus urbanas y su incidencia en las habilidades sociales”

    This article aims to analyze the incidence of personality traits in the social skills of adolescents belonging to the urban tribes: rokeros, rastas, punkeros, ravers, hoperos, poperos, emos, reguetoneros, bachateros and cumbieros. The research is of the correlational type since it relates the variable personality traits in urban tribes with the variable social skills, allowing to measure the degree of relation between the variables, in the same subjects and to determine trends. The study was carried out in the province of Cotopaxi, Salcedo canton, Gonzales Suárez school with a population of 110 students belonging to urban tribes, resulting in personality traits vary in each urban tribe, since the members of These groups have defined habits and that the majority of people belonging to urban tribes do not present difficulties in social skills.

    “Relación entre el cociente intelectual y las habilidades sociales en niños”

    This research is a study about the intellectual quotient and social skills of a group of children, the general objective was to analyze the relationship between the IQ and social skills in children, it was a correlational study, transversal type, carried out with a sample of 74 children belonging to a fiscal institution, who were studying the fourth and fifth years of basic education of Unidad Educativa Joaquín Lalama, all between 8 and 11 years, the instruments of the research that was used, was the RIAS psychological test for the evaluation of the IQ and the Messy scale for the student, which evaluates the level of social skills. In the research process hypothesis 1 was checked, the IQ is related to social skills in children. The data obtained and analyzed suggest for the IQ variable, 61% are located within or above the average and 39% below the average; in relation to social skills, 52% have adequate social skills and 48% inadequate social skills. When relating to the two variables, it is perceived that within the group of CI (intellectual quotient) with score below the average, 100% presents inadequate social skills; in the average IQ group, 15% have inadequate social skills and 85% adequate. In the upper IQ group, 100% have totally adequate social skills.
