Item EFECTOS DEL EJERCICIO INTRADIALÍTICO SOBRE LA FUERZA MUSCULAR Y CAPACIDAD FÍSICA EN PACIENTES CON ENFERMEDAD RENAL CRÓNICA QUE RECIBEN HEMODIÁLISIS(2025-06-16) Armas Ingavélez, Melanie Samantha; Morales Solis, Jorge Marcelo; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de MedicinaIntroduction: patients with advanced stages of chronic kidney disease present a hypercatabolic state characterized by loss of body proteins, which has a negative impact on physical capacity and muscle strength, particularly in patients undergoing hemodialysis, leading to reduced quality of life and increased mortality. Exercise has been shown to improve muscle function in this population but remains underutilized due to safety concerns and lack of evidence. Methodology: we conducted a descriptive systematic review of cohort studies and randomized clinical trials published in the last 5 years in English or Spanish whose main intervention is intradialytic physical exercise was conducted. Results: thirteen studies were analyzed that described an improvement in physical and functional capacity of patients who were included in the intradialytic exercise groups, although changes regarding body composition were not significant. Conclusions: the implementation of structured and supervised exercise programs during hemodialysis can mitigate the adverse effects of prolonged inactivity, improve physical function, and ultimately improve the quality of life of CKD patients.Item Musicoterapia y ansiedad en pacientes en hemodiálisis.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Centro de Posgrados, 2023-11-01) Avilés Peña, Daniel Armando Psicól; Vásquez de la Bandera Cabezas, Fabricio MScItem Calidad de vida de pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica sometidos a hemodiálisis(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-07) Escobar Morocho, Dayana Lisbeth; Ramírez López, Diego IvánIntroduction: Chronic kidney disease is a progressive pathology that compromises the quality of life of patients both physically and mentally, for them it is essential to use self-care methods and unconditional support from nursing staff. Methods: Correlational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach in the period September 2021 - February 2022. Population of 71 patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis at Hospital General Ambato (IESS). An SF-12 Health questionnaire was used to assess the state of physical and mental health, in addition, it presents satisfaction scores between 0 to 100 that determine the quality of life. Results: The analysis of the SF-12 questionnaire applied to patients with chronic kidney disease, it was obtained that 50% of the patients have a problem in the state of health, because there were factors with a greater problem in physical function (role physical, bodily pain) and mental function (psychological health, social function). Conclusion: Physical health and mental health show that a large part of the population under study with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis do not enjoy an adequate quality of life. Mg.The present research refers to the perception of patients with chronic renal failure about the care provided by the nursing staff of the Dialvida Ambato Hemodialysis center. The objective was to describe the perception of patients with chronic renal failure regarding the care provided by the nursing staff of the Dialvida Ambato Hemodialysis Center. For this, a qualitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, field and prospective study was carried out to find out the ideas, thoughts and opinions of patients with chronic renal failure who undergo hemodialysis on nursing care. Due to its effect, the study technique that was carried out was the semi-structured interview with a total of 14 patients, fulfilling the information saturation criterion. The results in the following research were phenomenological, conceptual and descriptive of the perception of nursing care, humanized care and the influence of the disease process in daily life. The conclusions that were obtained from the research were positive and of satisfaction regarding nursing care and humanized care, but negative responses were found such as lack of acceptance and adaptation to their change in the patients' lifestyle. Finally, it is recommended that the care already established by the nursing staff continue to be applied and the humanized care should continue and be reinforced among the patients and the multidisciplinary team, it should also inquire about the influence on the quality of life in relation to the treatment and diagnosis.Item “Embarazo en una paciente con enfermedad renal crónica en hemodialisis”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Medicina, 2018-05-01) Chango Tituaña, María de los Angeles; Guacho Guacho, Juan Sebastián Dr.Chronic kidney disease is seen in approximately 4% of women in the reproductive stage, and includes both primary renal diseases and secondary to a systemic disorder. However, the association of advanced chronic kidney disease (ACKD) in stage 5D and gestation is an infrequent event, with a variable incidence. (1) We present the case of a 26-year-old female patient with a personal history of untreated hypertension (HTA) and primary glomerulopathy, which led to renal failure in stage 5D diagnosed one year ago in three-week treatment with hemodialysis. Within her gynecological-obstetric history: family planning method, her menstrual cycles were irregular; previous deeds: two, masculine, live births, without complications; gesta 3: current unknown date of last menstruation (FUM). Patient goes to nephrology control with obstetric echo that reports pregnancy of 15.1 weeks. Change of hemodialysis therapy is indicated to 5 times per week and it is immediately referred to the gynecology and obstetrics service where it carries out pregnancy uptake and subsequently goes to 2 more controls. At 31.1 weeks of gestation, she went to prenatal control, referring to headache and edema at the level of the lower limbs. She is admitted to the Obstetrics-Gynecology service where she stays hospitalized for 26 hours and receives antihypertensive treatment, pulmonary maturation and later is transferred from emergency to third level with a diagnosis of: Pregnancy of 31.2 weeks by Extrapolated Echo + Chronic Hypertension + Preeclampsia Sobreañadida + HELLP syndrome. In the third level, pregnancy is terminated by means of an emergency caesarean section, obtaining a live male product, which remains for 27 days in the neonatal care unit after which it passes away due to sepsis of early origin due to Streptococcus pneumoniaeItem “Estrés y estrategias de afrontamiento en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica con tratamiento de hemodiálisis”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-11-01) Toasa Supe, Johanna Pamela; Díaz Martín, Yanet Lic. Mg.The present research seeks to determine the relationship between stress and coping strategies in patients with chronic renal failure with hemodialysis treatment of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security Ambato, this was done with patients who present with a clinical picture of Chronic Renal Failure, who come to the area of Nephrology for respectively the hemodialysis process, the sample was established with 45 patients, of whom 25 are men and 20 are women between the ages of 15 to 84 years, who were evaluated through the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), which evaluated the level of perceived stress and the Inventory of Coping Strategies (CSI) that determined what are the strategies that patients use compared to a given situation generates stress, for the analysis of the data was used for the statistical program SSPS and through the statistical test Chi-square test was obtained a value lower than the probability level ((0.008 < p 0,05), determining the existence of relationship between the two variables. The data obtained suggest that there is a relationship between the variables proposed, Given that the adequate management of coping strategies will establish the level of stress that patients present against the different stressors, as well as the data suggest the need to work in psychotherapeutic processes to promote, develop and potentiate effective coping strategies to deal with stressful situations so that patients increase strategies to reduce the stress level and thus guarantee a better quality of lifeItem “Complicaciones hemorrágicas y trombóticas de los accesos vasculares en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica atendidos en el centro de diálisis “contigo” durante el periodo junio 2010 a junio 2011”.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Medicina, 2012-04-01) Villalta Ortíz, Jenny Magdalena; Torres Torres, Johny Dr.The current context of the patients was evaluated with Illness Renal Chronicle (ERC) in substitute renal treatment (TRS), to which were carried out vascular access for hemodialysis and they presented complications. The present study is descriptive, retrospective, documental, clinical, epidemic, carried out in the canton Latacunga, county of Cotopaxi, in the period June 2010 - June 2011. They were included 45 patients with vascular access, of all the ages and sex, with complete clinical histories. The necessary data for their study were; age, sex, occupation, personal pathological antecedents, type of vascular access, construction of the vascular access, installation place, complications of the vascular accesses, were gotten of the clinical histories and of the operative reports. The purpose was to discover the complications but you frequent of the vascular accesses in 45 patients with ERC that conformed the sample. At the same time was carried out a meticulous bibliographical exploration of the topic. To collect the information a bibliographical review was done Excel 2010, processed their data by means of charts and graphics for their biggest understanding. Concluding that inside the study the feminine sex prevailed in ages understood among 61 to 70 years; with pathological antecedents of Diabetes Mellitus, continued by Arterial Hypertension, dedicated to the works of the home. The vascular access used construction was the humerus - cephalic at the left superior member's level, presenting as main complication the thrombosis, so much of the fistula and catheter, continued by the infectious processes.
